Much of this work goes on behind the scenes but provides vital support to mangers and committee volunteers.

18 Growing the Game INTRODUCING MORE PEOPLE TO THE GAME THROUGH CLUBGOLF & GET INTO GOLF Golf clubs operate in an ever-more competitive environment with many other sports and leisure pursuits challenging to recruit youngsters and adults. Scottish Golf invests vital resources in our clubs to help them create the best environment to attract newcomers and keep the flow of new golfers coming into our game.
19 ClubGolf THE NATIONAL JUNIOR PROGRAMME FOR GOLF IN SCOTLAND We believe that all golfers in Scotland have a duty to contribute to the growth of our game and help clubs develop future generations of golfers. Your investment goes towards training PGA professionals, Volunteer coaches and resources to support the continued growth of ClubGolf, with 320 clubs now involved in the programme.
20 Get into Golf ENCOURAGING MORE ADULT BEGINNERS INTO OUR GREAT GAME More than 100 clubs are now involved in our Get into Golf initiative, developing coaching programmes and introductory membership schemes for adult beginners. Scottish Golf also invests in national and local marketing to encourage more people into golf and help clubs build their new membership categories,
21 Developing Winning Golfers MANAGING OUR BEST TALENT TO PRODUCE OUR FUTURE PROFESSIONAL TOUR STARS We all want to see Scots competing successfully at the highest level, whether contending Majors, playing Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup, winning international amateur events or flying high on the European Tour. We face challenges in helping players make the transition from amateur to professional tour and need further investment from sponsors and partners to improve our position on the world stage.
22 Academy NURTURING TALENT THROUGH OUR DEVELOPMENT & PERFORMANCE ACADEMIES Investment in our Academies comes from sportscotland rather than membership affiliation fees and plays a vital role in developing Scotland's best young players, preparing all aspects of their game to enable them to perform at the highest level.

24 Guardians of the Game OUR DUTY AS A SPORTS GOVERNING BODY There is much unseen work undertaken by our staff, Board and volunteers to protect the interests of the game in Scotland, including the negotiation of Government funding, child protection, political lobbying, partnership working, securing sponsorship, raising golf's profile in the media and providing a voice for clubs on legislation changes. All important areas of our role which have a positive impact on our game.
