Events outside Southern California Section, points are earned only if a player makes the cut. The point totals are based on Committee's rankings of tournament importance. Examples: Win the Section Championship Finish 10th in the PNC Individual match play semi-finalist LA Open 50th place finish 425 pts 250 pts 90 pts 150 pts Player of the Year Payout Every year the top players are rewarded with a bonus payout from the SCPGA Player of the Year pool. With the recent partnership with OMEGA, now the title sponsor for Player of the Year, the purse has grown from previous years. The SCPGA Section Player of the Year Payout will total $5,000 with the Top 5 players receiving the bonus. The Top 5 payout breakdown percentage is as followed for the Section Player of the Year payoffs: 1 st 30%, 2 nd 25%, 3 rd 20%, 4 th 15% and 5 th 10%. In addition, $2,000 will be awarded to each of the following divisions where the Top 3 will be paid out: Senior Division, Women s Division, AAA Division. The Top 3 payout breakdown percentage is as followed for Player of the Year payoffs for those respective divisions:1 st 50%, 2 nd 30% and 3 rd 20%. Hole-In-One Pool The hole in one pool is awarded to the first player who records a hole in one at a Section event. This does not include any AAA, Women s, Senior s or Chapter events. The recipient must be a member or apprentice of the Section and in good standing. The Hole-In-One pool is ongoing until a HIO is recorded and not capped at any amount and can rollover for multiple season. If there are two HIO during a single day event, those individuals will spilt the pool. In a multi-day event, if the HIO does not occur in the same round, the first to get the HIO will receive the payout and the pool will officially be restarted.

2 SCPGA SENIOR DIVISION POINT ALLOCATION GENERAL A. Full Points earned for INDIVIDUAL events B. Half Points earned for 2 man/partners events C. No points awarded to Senior POY Race for Super Seniors playing from forward tees. (Super Seniors have their own POY Points Race) SECTION EVENTS A. 1 point awarded for each player beat per round for Single Day Events B. 2 Day Events receive DOUBLE POINTS for players beat, but NOT Double Bonus Points C. Everybody returning a 18/36 hole score receives points D. Bonus Points awarded for top 5 places (unless fewer than 14 players); ties receive equal points for finish position (Example: 1 st = 25 pts., 2 nd = 20 pts., 3 rd = 15 pts., 4 th 10pts., 5 th = 5 pts.) (T1st = 25 pts., for each player tied, T2nd = 20 pts for each player tied, etc.) E. Senior Section Championship TRIPLE BONUS POINTS AWARDED (1 st = 75 pts., 2 nd = 60 pts., 3 rd = 45pts., 4 th = 30 pts., 5 th = 15 pts.) F. Senior Division Players Championship (Season Ending Event) DOUBLE BONUS POINTS AWARDED (1 st = 50 pts., 2 nd = 40 pts., 3 rd = 30 pts., 4 th = 20 pts., 5 th = 10 pts.) 4 SCPGA Women s Player of the Year Point Rankings for 2017 The following is the 2017 SCPGA Player of the Year points breakdown. We will award OMEGA SCPGA Women s Player of the Year along with OMEGA SCPGA Women s Apprentice Player of the Year. The OMEGA SCPGA Women s Player of the Year award will be given to the top point earner who is a Class A PGA member in good standing. The OMEGA SCPGA Women s Apprentice Player of the Year will be given to the top point earner who is an apprentice in good standing. Please see below on the details of how you can participate: Categories (For PGA Members AND Apprentices events that will count towards OMEGA SCPGA Women s Player of the Year point rankings AND OMEGA SCPGA Women s Apprentice Player of the Year ): 1. Women s Stroke Play Series (Team format included) 2. Women s Team Championship 3. Women s Match Play Championship 4. Women s Section Championship 5. Women s Cal State Open Additional points can be earned if a player either qualifies, makes the cut, and wins any LPGA Tour, Legends Tour, LPGA T&CP, or USGA Women s Open Event 1. Stroke Play Series (Team Format included) Stroke Play Format: Optional format; if player chooses to participate in this format player must HOLE OUT on every hole and turn in a scorecard at the end of the round. SENIOR TEES NOT INCLUDED, everyone must play from the same tees in order to receive Player of the Year points. *$$$$ Individual Payout (prize money will be awarded to the top 3 players)* *Ties will split the prize money and points* Points will be awarded as follows (only in STROKE PLAY FORMAT): 25 points given to champion. Bonus points will be awarded to the top 3 competitors; as shown below. All following players will receive points on a 3 point increment. Players who place lower than the lowest point earner will receive 1 point. Example: Champion 25 pts pts. (bonus) Runner-up 22 pts pts. (bonus) 3 rd place 19 pts. + 5 pts. (bonus) 4 th place 16 pts. and so forth Best Ball Format: Partners will be a blind draw on the day of the event. *$$$$ Team Payout (prize money will only be awarded to the winning team)*

Women s Team Championship Best Ball Format: Team Payout $$$$ (prize money will be awarded) Points will be awarded as follows: 100 points given to winning team plus 30 bonus points (all split between 2 players). 2 nd and 3 rd place team will receive bonus points as well. All following teams will receive points on a 3 point increment, again total points awarded will be split between the 2 players. Example: Champions 100 pts pts. (bonus) Runner-up 97 pts pts. (bonus) 3 rd place 94 pts pts. (bonus) 4 th place 91 pts. and so forth *1 st place ties will be determined by sudden death play-off holes* In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole by hole playoff beginning immediately following the completion of play. An on-course playoff will be conducted based on-course availability and daylight. In the instance there is not sufficient availability to conduct an on-course playoff, the tie shall be broken by the scorecard playoff procedure recommended by the Rules of Golf. 3. Women s Match Play Championship Match Play Format Prize money will be awarded to semi-finalists and forward. Points will be awarded as follows: (Champion 30 Runner-up 20 Semi-Finalist 15 Quarter-Finalist 10) *All cumulative* Champion wins maximum 75 points. 4. Women s Section Championship Two Day Stroke Play Format SENIOR TEES NOT INCLUDED, everyone must play from the same tees in order to receive Player of the Year points. *$$$$ Individual Payout* Points will be awarded as follows: 75 points given to champion and top 3 competitors will earn bonus points. All following players will receive points on a 5 point increment. Players who place lower than the lowest point earner will receive 1 point. Example: Champion 75 pts pts. (bonus) Runner-up 70 pts pts. (bonus) 3 rd place 65 pts. + 5 pts. (bonus) 4 th place 60 pts. and so forth *1 st place ties will be determined by sudden death play-off holes* In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole by hole playoff beginning immediately following the completion of play. An on-course playoff will be conducted based on-course availability and daylight. Women s Cal State Open Two Day Stroke Play Format, points awarded to PGA Members and Apprentices only and results will reflect placements WITHOUT amateurs and LPGA Members. *Ties will split the points* Points will be awarded as follows (only in STROKE PLAY FORMAT): 20 points given to champion, all following players will receive points on a 3 point increment. Players who place lower than the lowest point earner will receive 1 point. Example: Champion 20 pts. Runner-up 17 pts. 3 rd place 14 pts. 4 th place 11 pts. and so forth If a player qualifies for a LPGA Tour event or the USGA Women s Open, that player will receive 25 points. If the player then makes the cut, she will receive another 15 points. If the player wins either event, 100 bonus points will be awarded in addition to the 40 points earned. Winner at a Legends Tour Event will be given 50 points and winner of the LPGA T&CP will be given 50 points. Point accumulation would begin the day after the preceding year s Championship, and end with the Women s Section Championship. In the event there is a tie for Player of the Year in the point rankings, there will be dual players crowned the award. The final point rankings will be used to determine the 8-player team for the SCPGA/WSCGC Women s Cup Matches at the end of the season (Apprentices included). *Ties in points in the top 8 will be determined by the player s performance at the Women s Section Championship* The top point earners for both OMEGA SCPGA Women s Player of the Year and OMEGA SCPGA Women s Apprentice Player of the Year will be honored at the President s Dinner along with the other award winners. All Members and Apprentices in good standing are eligible.
