2 Membership Dear Members, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are enjoying the colder weather! I would like to start by introducing myself, my name is Elizabeth Pollard, I will serve as the Membership Director at Hoover Country Club. As Membership Director, the goal is to continue to grow our membership and keep our current members happy! Hoover Country Club is excited to announce the end of year Amnesty Program. We would like to invite back to HCC previous full golf members who left in good standing to return to HCC at an initiation of $2500. The returning member must return as a full Senior golf member. Amnesty Membership Amnesty Initiation Fee: $2,500 Monthly Dues: $448 Monthly Food Minimum: $40 We encourage you to reach out to your past golf partners, friends and family members to return to Hoover Country Club. This program is only available to 10 returning members. This could be a great Christmas present for oneself or a couple looking to get themselves a Christmas present. The Amnesty Program will run through the end of February 2019, or until we have reached the maximum number of 10. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season! 6 Golf News 2019 Rules of Golf Most of you may have heard by now that as of January 1st, 2019 the USGA will be rolling out a completely new set of rules. This is the most comprehensive modification to the Rules of Golf since I will be educating our members of these new rules starting now! Each week, I will highlight one or two of the main rule changes in the Jake s Takes . We are also planning to have a rules workshop here at the club in early Details to come. I hope you enjoy these explanations in the following weeks! Score Posting GHIN Handicap In an effort to post scores accurately we now have two stations were you can post your score to GHIN right after your round! There is a kiosk in the Men s Grill and the Golf Shop. These kiosks are touchscreen and very easy to use. We will still post scores for you but we ask that you bring in them into the Golf Shop in order to ensure we have the information accurate. If you need any help learning how to post your score please reach out to one of our Professionals! Stitch Apparel Stitch was so well received at our Holiday Market that we decided to try the NEW apparel in the Golf Shop. Stich has been making high quality headcovers and golf accessories and they have expanded into an apparel line. These awesome looking pieces are very stretchable, breathable, and moisture wicking. Alabama Wins! Final discounts on AU/UA Merchandise. Congrats to the Bama fans on an impressive Iron Bowl victory. The consolation for Auburn fans is that the remaining Auburn apparel is significantly marked down! Until it is gone, Auburn apparel is 52% OFF and Alabama apparel is 21% OFF. Golf Shop Credit Expires Just a reminder - everyone s credit and gift certificates in the Golf Shop will expire at the close of business on December 31 st. Please don t forget to use your credit. We will send several s out in December reminding the membership of this policy.
