Once the non - highlighted times are full, those wishing to play should add their names to the reserve list and they will be allocated start times within the highlighted sections in liaison with the Manager Members must complete both rounds of the Competition. Juniors may enter if invited by 7 Day Member subject to Junior entry rules. One week before Comp, Juniors may be allocated vacant spots by Manager. Ties for Ted Hooper Bowl and Club Championship qualification determined by last 18 (or 9/6/3/1 holes using holes 10-18, etc). If a tie still arises, the scores for the first round shall be treated in the same way until resolved. Second day requirements should be advised to the office. Entry sheets should be exhibited three weeks prior to the event. The longest drive and a nearest the pin competitions are to be included in the prizes. 25 Whitchurch Putter / Albert Williams Cup (Q) Open Competition Medal Singles Maximum handicap Men 18 Full Allowance The starting sheet is to be put up five weeks before the date of the competition. Members can invite one visitor only. The number of visitors will be restricted to a maximum of 50 in total The Albert Williams cup is for veterans aged 60 years or over on the date of the competition and who also compete for the putter. Veterans need to place a V on their card to enter and win the A W Cup. A competitor may win both trophies but may take only one share of the prizes and sweep. 26 Eros Cup (Husband & Wife and/or Mixed Partners Who Live Together) This is a Sunday Competition over 18 holes. The competition is also open to all golf playing members. The entry fee is 4.00 and the sweep is 3. Mixed foursome Medal Maximum handicap Men 28; Ladies 36 Stroke allowance is ½ of the combined handicap with fractions counting Vouchers: Sweep: 1 st - ⅔ per pair (maximum 2 x 25); 2 nd - ⅓ per pair (maximum 2 x 15) 1 st - ⅔ per pair; 2 nd - ⅓ per pair The competition is to be followed by a set meal and presentation. 27 Treasurer s Cup (Open to any family relations) This is a Sunday Competition and is open to all golf playing members. The entry fee is 2.00 each and the sweep is 1.50 each. Greensome Stableford Maximum handicap Men 28; Ladies 36; Juniors 36 Stroke allowance Lower h/c x higher h/c x 0.4. The Ladies will play off the Men s card but will be allowed an increase of two strokes up to maximum of 36. 28 Echo & Express (Mixed) This is a Sunday Competition. The entry sheet is to be posted one month before the competition and players should enter as individuals. Competition open to all golf playing members. Draw for playing pairs will be made on the Friday before the competition. Tee times from result from the draw. Mixed Greensome Stableford Maximum handicap: Men 28; Ladies 36 Stroke allowance: Lower h/c x higher h/c x 0.4 Vouchers: Sweep: 1 st - ⅔ of total entry fees (maximum 2 x 25) ; 2 nd - ⅓ of total entry fees (maximum 2 x 15) 1 st - ⅔ of total sweep; 2 nd - ⅓ of total sweep In 2016 a trial was conducted whereby participants could choose their own partner, but the partner must not be someone who they would usually play with Cup 28

29 Men s Open (Open Competition) No Juniors are allowed to enter. Medal Singles Maximum Handicap Men 24 Full Allowance Non Members 20.00; Members Three Whitchurch Members are allowed to play together up to 9am. After 9am a member must play with two visitors. 31 Whitchurch Silver Dragon (Open Competition) This is a 36 hole competition held in conjunction with Newport Golf Club s Golynos Oaks as a qualifying event for the Welsh Golfing Union Order of Merit. The 72 hole winner will receive the Tucker Trophy. The Silver Dragon and the Golynos Oaks competitions are held on alternative Saturdays and Sundays each year. Medal Singles. 32 Club Championship (Match Play Competition) The Club Champion and the best 15 gross scores from the Ted Hooper Bowl qualify for the match play stage of the competition. Draw as specified in Ted Hooper Bowl Matches up to the final will be over 18 holes and the Final itself will be over 36 holes. Match Play Scratch Vouchers: 1 st - 100; 2 nd seeded and 8 drawn For draw - Ties will be decided on count back from last 18 holes NB: Match Play rounds to be played off Championship Tees (white stones). 33 Committee Cup (Match Play Competition) This is an 18 hole competition played off handicap. Match Play Stroke allowance: Full difference in handicaps. Max h/c 28 The entry sheet is to be put up in early March and the draw will take place in early April. The Final will be held on the Knockout Finals Day which is held in September. (A note is to be kept of the entry together with the amount of Sweep Money to be distributed.) Vouchers: 1 st - 100; 2 nd - 60 Sweep: 1 st - 2/3 of total sweep; 2 nd - 1/3 of total sweep Cup 33

34 Phillips Foursomes (Match Play Competition) This is an 18 hole competition played off handicap. Match Play Maximum handicap: Stroke allowance: 28 per person ½ of difference of combined handicaps. The entry sheet is to be put up in early March and the draw will take place in early April. The Final will be held on the Knockout Finals Day which is held in September. (A note is to be kept of the entry together with the amount of Sweep Money to be distributed.) Mixed Foursomes Medal. Maximum handicap: Men 28; Ladies 36 Stroke allowance: ½ of difference of combined handicaps. 6&7day members, Fully Reduced and 5 day Seniors may enter. Vouchers: Sweep: 1 st - ⅔ of total entry money (maximum 2 x 25); 2 nd - ⅓ of total entry money (maximum 2 x 15) 1 st - ⅔ of total sweep; 2 nd - ⅓ of total sweep Knock Out Match Play Top 8 pairs from the Qualifier progress to KO stage Match Play Foursomes with an Open Draw. Match Play Maximum handicap: Men 28 Stroke allowance: 90% of difference taken off the lowest handicap. The entry sheet is to be put up in early September and the draw will take place in early October. The Final will be played on Good Friday.
