2 Welcome We are happy to introduce Mayacama's first Family Guide in 2018! The Family Guide is your family s resource for Mayacama's youth and family programs. It contains all the information you need to plan fun family nights, fill your children s calendar with activities, and a have great year at the Club. Within this booklet, you will find detailed information on Mayacama Kids nights, junior golf programs, summer camps, Holiday festivities and family events. And new this year is the introduction of Camps for Tweens! Get ready for 2018 because this year we are adding more cool events and summer camp options and unique family outings! 3 2018 Summer Camps This summer at the Club will be all about unique camps! 6 MAYACAMA JUNIOR GOLF BOOT CAMP July 25 27, 2018 All Mayacama Juniors are invited to join General Ted Antonopoulos and Drill Sergeants Zach Makilan, Chelsa Helget, and Hayden Stratton for a three-day golf school, military style! Training is open to all children ages 5 to 10. After basic calisthenics each day, Juniors will learn full swing, putting, chipping, pitching, etiquette, and Rules of Golf. The last day will include a Putting Championship & Scramble Tournament complete with an awards lunch. 7 THE PARENT CHILD TOURNAMENT Saturday, July 28, 2018 Mayacama Golf Club cordially invites you to participate in the 6th annual Parent-Child golf tournament. The spirit of the Parent- Child is to bring family members together by providing a fun golf experience that will be memorable for all participants and to introduce new and young golfers to competitive golf. Teams shall consist of any parent child combination such as Father-Son or Daughter, Mother-Daughter or Son, Grandparent-Grandchild. There will be two tournament Divisions, 18-Hole and 9-Hole. After warm up calisthenics with our own Courtney Rebel, the juniors will learn full swing, pitching and chipping, putting, etiquette and sportsmanship, and The Rules of Golf. Finally the Juniors will finish with fun competitions and a 3-hole Golf Course! 8 Mayacama Kids Camp & Tween Camp This year Mayacama's Summer Camp is better than ever with unique week-long themes including, Experience Mayacama and Mini Mudder Camp. These two innovative camps and modified formats will provide a new and exciting experience to the Mayacama kids and tweens! For each week, we will have two separate groups, 5-7 year olds and 8-12 year olds. These camps will include age appropriate challenges, activities and games. The two age groups will interact at various times but they will also encounter their separate adventures throughout the camp. Since this may be a young child s first camp experience, we make an extra effort to provide a relaxed environment where a camper can safely develop new skills, explore diverse interests, and make new friends. Our all-inclusive summer camp program includes group lessons in tennis and golf, daily lunch and snack, educational experiences, exciting surprises, a camp shirt and much more! Experience Mayacama Camp: Kids Camp & Tween Camp June :00am-3:00pm Ages: 5-7, Kids Camp Ages: 8-12, Tween Camp Price: $475/week* *Day options are available, based on availability During Experience Mayacama, campers will go behind the scenes and learn the ins and outs of the Club! Sporting activities will include group golf lessons with the Mayacama Golf Professionals, tennis lessons with Luke Chiurco and group swim instruction. Campers will experience the secrets of the kitchen, expansiveness of the cart barn, tour the maintenance building and more! Adventures will include cooking with Chef Pikey, exploring the beautiful trail on property and other surprises. Of course, we will cool off at the Mayacama pool during the hot summer days. This camp is a one and only experience of the best that Mayacama has to offer! 8

9 Mini Mudder Camp July :00am-3:00pm Ages: 5-7, Kids Camp Ages: 8-12, Tween Camp Price: $375/week* *Day options are available, based on availability Are You Ready for a Real Adventure? Mayacama's 1st Mini Mudder Camp will prepare you for the fun and muddy Mini Mudder event on Saturday, July 14. This unique camp is designed for adventure-seeking kids looking to experience something new, get muddy and enjoy the thrill of adventure. Campers will build parts of the course and practice the obstacles to master the event. In addition to the Muddy fun, we will also have yoga classes, fitness classes, make your own smoothies and learn simple (and fun) Wellness tips. 9

10 Kids' Nights Hey Kids...we had a fun year in 2017! Get ready for a full year of new, exciting events with bigger and better activities, games and surprises. All of our Kids events take place during a corresponding adult event at the Club so you can have a parent free fun evening with the Mayacama Youth staff. Willy Wonka's Chocolate Party - February 24 Do you love chocolate? If so, you don t want to miss this unique event where we will be transported to a world of pure imagination...willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Everyone will be entertained at this fantastical feast with the wonder of edible wallpaper, a chocolate waterfall, golden eggs and scrumptious chocolate playdough. Come join us at this sweet night at the Club! Iron Chef - April 21 The battle has begun at this night of cooking extravaganza! Come learn about food and get a few cooking tips at this creative event. You will even get to go home with a treat of your own! Jungle Safari - May 12 Party like a wild animal while your parents attend the All Vintner Pour evening at the Club. Come join us to play snake's tails, sleeping lions, animal charades and show your skills during a jungle scavenger hunt. W e will have special animal guests that will entertain and excite everyone in the room. Paint Explosion - November 3 Splatter, blot and brush your way to a masterpiece at this artistic evening in the Mayacama Kids Room. We will explore different kinds of art and create a unique piece of your own to decorate your home. Get ready to explore your artistic side and get your hands a little dirty during this colorful evening. Magical Masquerade - November 24 Abracadabra! Come join us for a magical evening in the Kids room while your parents go to the Fall Release Party. See if you can discover the professional magicians secrets during a spectacular magic show for all! You will even learn a few tricks of your own to have hidden up your sleeve. Poof! 10

12 Family Events Easter Brunch - April 1 -Seatings from 10:30-2:30pm Everyone in your family will love this event, from your toddler to your grandparents. The dessert buffet is the biggest of the year and one every sweet tooth would enjoy. This Mayacama tradition also includes a HUGE Easter egg hunt, face painters, a petting zoo and other interactive surprises for the children (and children at heart). Mothers Day Brunch (Make a Gift for Mom) - May 13 Mom is off cooking and cleaning duties for this special day! Chef Pikey will try his best to match your mother s best meal with his Mothers Day Brunch spread. While your Mom enjoys a relaxing outing, you can sneak off to make a gift for her with the Mayacama Youth team! Pool-a-Palooza (Memorial Day Pool BBQ & Activities) - May 27 It is time to celebrate the start of a great summer! This poolside summer kickoff will have fun for the whole family. Start dreaming now about sunshine and water slides, rafts and volleyballs, and pool games and bubble bonanzas. Mayacama 5K Run & Kids Dash - June 9 We hope you join us at Mayacama's inaugural 5K Run and Walk! This beautiful run will take you through the hills of Mayacama and finish at the Clubhouse. Feel free to walk and bring the kids for the 500-meter dash! After the run, you will enjoy the run ceremony and post party with snacks, complimentary massages and prizes for the top finishers. Independence Day BBQ - July 4 This celebratory day gives us a reason to party! Bring your whole family to the Club BBQ that will have great food and fun events for the kids. Mini Mudder Race - July 14 This Kids Only Mini Mudder Race will be a blast for the entire family. Your parents can cheer you on as you run through mud pits, meander through a giant spider web, climb over walls and jump through tires. This unique course and event gives kids the chance to experience something new, get muddy, and enjoy the thrill of adventure. 12

13 There is even a Mini Mudder camp to help prepare you for this dirty and fun race at Mayacama. Can t make the camps? That s okay, you can still sign up for Mayacamas 1st Mini Mudder event! Drive In Movie - July 28 Lounge on the green in a golf cart or on the lawn for a big screen movie with the family. Grab your blankets, pillows, and we will provide drinks and snacks for an outdoor movie theater experience. End of Summer Celebration - September 2 Come join us at the pool for our end of summer party! This event is always a hit, last year we had a gigantic water slide, bubble bonanza and family funny relays. This day will be another great family event at the Club with good food, kid s activities and surprise water fun. Kids Halloween Party - October 27 Come join us for Mayacamas 1st Great Pumpkin Festival! The courtyard will be filled with an abundance of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes that we will use to at this festive Fall event. Participants will have a ball with Pumpkin Bowling, Pumpkin Putt Putt, Pumpkin Painting, and other pumpkin surprises! We will also create the ultimate Fall event with hayrides, hot chocolate and Halloween costumes. Gingerbread House Decorating - December 16 This festive holiday event is always a hit for families at Mayacama! The tradition continues of decorating delicious pre-built gingerbread houses with your choice of candy and chocolate from the candyland table! Each decorated gingerbread house can be taken home to admire through the holidays. Best of all, you can talk to Santa in person about your Christmas gifts and get a family Holiday photo. 13
