For our members that will be visiting the pool please keep in mind the closer we get to school starting the more of our guard staff we will lose. There will be more and more times that no guards will be on duty. You can always call ahead to find the staffing availability. Please be reminded that when there is no one at the pool shack we ask you to sign in at the Pro Shop. We will continue to serve food at lunch and on Wednesday and Friday nights through Labor Day weekend. Monday, September 5th will be the last day food will be available poolside. There will be no lunch served in the Lodge dining room Monday, August 1st due to the Hospice golf outing. We will serve poolside that day. Fees and Charges Due As we enter August it is time to remind everyone that all fees should have been paid by now. All accounts are thirty days net. Your outstanding balances are subject to 1.65% monthly and 19.8% annually finance charge. We also charge those accounts with a balance over sixty a late fee of $25 each month. As the summer winds down and your visits to the pool and course become less frequent Lodge 590 mailings tend to be forgotten. Please remember we will send out over $50 thousand in receivables on August 1st. That is our operating capital. In order to make payroll and pay our purveyors your prompt attention to your accounts is most important. Secretary's Report The following were elected to regular membership in Lodge 590 at the 7/18/11 meeting: Megan Foley Nicpon, John O'Connor, Patrick Tierney and Matt Buckeley The following were proposed for regular membership in Lodge 590 at the 7/18/11 meeting: Todd Scott by P.J. Conlon Chris Paulson by Richard Brue Tom Hamilton by Kevin Christians Jason Wagner by Joe McCarragher The current House Rules were passed without any changes at the 7/18/11 meeting: There will ne no meeting Monday, August 8, Hospice Golf Outing Monday, August 1st is the date for the annual Iowa City Hospice/Glenn Roberts Elks Golf Classic. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. There are still openings for four person teams at both time slots. Call Maggie Elliott at to sign up.

2 New Local Rule! Hole #5 Drop Zone A ball coming to reset below the white line and the top of the cliff is entitled to a FREE drop in the designated Drop Zone located to the short right of the green. No Penalty! You may choose to play the ball as it lies or play from the Drop Zone. Please use caution if you choose to retrieve your golf ball. It's not necessary to identify your golf ball in order to receive relief. This rules has been introduced for the safety of our golfers. If anyone has questions regarding this rule please consult your Golf Pro. No Meeting MINUTES 7/4/11 MINUTES 7/18/11 I. General Manager's Report A. First quarter '11 food and bev sales down 20% from '10, although week of 7/5-11/11 second highest total for one week in last 9 years B. Both water heaters had leaks and were replaced 7/15 C. Company computer hit with virus from a Trustees/House Committee member , replaced at cost of $350 D. Remodel $ available $19,000 II. Treasurer Report A.
