The qualifiers are the winners of all official club competitions (singles and pairs) in the current year. Qualification is subject to a minimum of 20 entrants per competition. Ties to be decided over holes 10, 6, and 18 on handicap. (Thereafter if still level "sudden death" starting at the 1 st tee). To be played on a Saturday morning from the Yellow Tees. No booking required. Just turn up and play. Ties to be decided on last 9, 6, 3, 1 holes. CALCUTTA CUP 18 Holes Singles Match Play on Handicap. In place of strokes, the longer handicap player will receive one hole start for every two strokes difference in handicap. Odd strokes to count as one hole. Halved matches to be replayed over 18 holes unless fewer holes can be played without altering the odds. CARTWRIGHT SALVER 18 Holes Medal Play on handicap. CENTENARY SALVERS 18 Holes Fourball Better-Ball Stableford on ¾ handicap. Over 18 years only. All entrants must attend the Centenary Dinner the previous evening where partners and starting tees are drawn. Competition played from 1 st & 10 th Tees. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP CUP 36 Holes Scratch Medal. (Played in conjunction with the Biddenham Cup) Ties to be decided by sudden death starting at the 1 st tee playing the 1st and the 18th until there is a decision. CONSTABLE CUP 18 Holes Scratch Knockout Competition. Limited to 32 players with single figure handicaps. 4 seeded players. Others entrants balloted out by handicap. Ties to be decided by sudden death starting at the 1 st Tee.

Playing partners to be drawn. Ties to be decided on last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes DEACON CUP 18 Holes Medal Play on handicap. Over 18 years only. Not open to Juniors. Ties to be decided over Holes 10, 6, and 18 on handicap. Played in conjunction with the Judge's Cup. All entrants must attend the Deacon Dinner held the previous evening where playing partners and starting times are drawn. Competition played from 1 st & 10 th Tees. FOUR-BALL TANKARDS 18 Holes Fourball Better-Ball Match Play Knockout on ¾ handicap. Players to receive strokes in accordance with the Stroke Index. Ties to be decided by sudden death starting at the 1st Tee. FOURSOMES CUP 18 Holes Match Play on handicap. Stroke allocation: ½ the difference of the Combined Handicaps. GALE SALVERS 18 Holes Fourball Better-Ball Match Play on handicap. Matches to be played against the Professional, partnered by either the President, Captain or Vice-Captain. Members to enter in pairs. No player may take part in more than one match. A small fee will be paid to the Professional by each competitor. The pairs with the best result against the above three combinations plus the best result by either the President, Captain or Vice-Captain with the Professional will qualify for the final knockout sections.

The Judges Cup will be awarded to the player with the best gross score over 18 Holes played during the Deacon Cup. KLINE CUP 18 Holes Medal on handicap. Limited to players with Handicaps in the range of inclusive. KVP SALVER 18 Holes Stableford on handicap. Competition to be played on the Friday of the Festival Weekend. Handicap limit 21 Junior handicap limit 18 LESLIE DAY SALVERS 18 Holes Fourball Better-Ball Stableford on ¾ Handicap v Par.

5 MIDWEEK 15 HOLE COMPETITION PBC PETER HANCOCK PETER MORGAN PRESIDENT'S PUTTER MIDWEEK 15 HOLE COMPETITION 15 Holes Stableford on handicap. Holes omitted. Rounds to be played on Wednesday evenings during July and August from 4pm. Weekly prizes awarded depending on entry numbers. Individual round winners will go forward to a final to be played on the first Wednesday in September. Ladies & Juniors welcome. Handicap limit 28 Ladies handicap limit 36 Junior handicap limit 15 PBC Eight, 18 Holes Medal qualifying rounds to be played over eight weeks during May and June. Rounds can be played any day of the week (Mon. to Fri.). Only one round allowed per player per week. Weekly prizes awarded depending on entry numbers. The eight players with the lowest aggregate of their best FOUR Cards, and those tying for 8th place, will qualify for the Match Play section. This will be drawn. Each player is required to return a minimum of FOUR cards to qualify. PETER HANCOCK 18 Holes Greensomes Knockout on Handicap. Stroke allocation: ½ the difference of the Combined Handicaps. PETER MORGAN Eight Morgan qualifying Medal rounds as indicated in the club diary. The eight players with the lowest aggregate of their best FOUR Cards, and those tying for 8th place, will qualify for the Match Play section. This will be drawn. Each player is required to return a minimum of FOUR cards to qualify. PRESIDENT'S PUTTER 18 Holes Stableford on Handicap. Ties to be decided over Holes 10, 6, and 18 on handicap.
