4 MEMBER INFORMTION Members operate their own roll ups. These are played on a Tuesday, Thursday & weekends for Gents and Tuesday & Thursday for Ladies, subject to other activities. ll members are welcome to join in the roll-ups, please ask the Golf Shop for contact details. The Club participates in both representative & friendly matches, please see notice boards for details. ny member failing to attend a booked competition tee time without contact to the shop will be precluded from entry into the following event, unless they can provided a valid reason for absence. The decision of the Golf Operations Manager will be final. Members are requested to park their vehicles in the Members Car Park after visiting bag drop. Ladder registration closes at 8.30 for Gents and 9.00 for Ladies, you are required to register in person. Please only phone the shop if you are unable to register in person. Please inform the golf shop of any changes to your personal details or you wish to be added to the electronic mailing list. 6 COMPETITION RULES 2016 GENERL The following general Rules apply to Men, Ladies, Mixed and Juniors unless otherwise stated. Handicap llowances Foursomes (Medal, Stableford & Matchplay)... 1/2 Combined Singles stableford...full Fourball Betterball (Medal or Stableford)...Full Singles Matchplay...Full Difference Fourball Matchplay...90% of Difference Greensomes... Lower Hcp x 0.6 plus High Hcp x 0.4 Matchplay Knockout Competitions It is a condition of entry that all competitors must be available to play in their respective finals on Championship Day with all disputes settled on the day, a W/O must be offered if a player(s) are unable to complete future rounds. Ties In the event of a tie in an 18-hole handicap competition the net result achieved on the last 9, last 6, last 3 and last hole will determine the winner. In the case of a 36-hole handicap competition the net score achieved on the last 18 holes will determine the winner. In the event of a tie in a scratch competition a sudden death playoff will determine the winner. The play off holes will be as under:- East Course West Course 18th followed by 10th and 18th until a result has been achieved. 18th followed by 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 18th until a result has been achieved. When conditions prevail which prevent a play-off viz; bad light a count back as described above will determine the winner. MEN S COMPETITIONS CHIRMN S LDDER: utumn/winter matchplay competition. SINGLES MTCHPLY CHMPIONSHIP: Handicap matchplay knockout. ll 1st round matches to be played on Sunday 15th May THE GOLD CUP: 36 holes scratch medal off Gold tees. (Order of Merit).played over 2 days THE HOLLND CUP: This is the handicap trophy for the Gold Cup competition. THE SILVER CUP: 36 hole aggregate handicap medal. This is the handicap trophy for Club Championship. TOMBSTONE CLSSIC: Plant your tombstone when par plus handicap shots are used. The player to survive the furthest is the winner. (This is a qualifier and counts towards Order of Merit) THE LITTLE HORSTED CUP: 36 hole aggregate medal over 2 days. Trophies for scratch (Order of merit) and handicap.
