2 Junior Membership Entitlements Tab signing privileges, subject to credit policy with a credit card on file Gift cards and account pre-payments available Club storage and pull cart (no club storage for Jr. Youth) No tee off before 1:00 P.M. on weekends and holidays Tee-times available anytime weekdays except between 3:30 P.M. and 5:30 P.M. Guests (including parents) may play with junior members a maximum of 5 times for $30.00 after 2pm on weekends

3 Volunteers In order to deliver the program within this booklet, we need both adult and junior volunteers. Please be generous with some of your time and sign up to help out. The following types of volunteers are needed: Junior Committee Members Parents or guardians of junior members who are also members of our club. Men s Opening & Closing Day Juniors are needed to run the putting contests as well as other events. This lasts about 4-5 hours and we provide food and drinks to the juniors. Don t be shy, it s easy work, a lot of fun, and you can help raise money for our junior golf program. 4 Event Rules & Regulations: The purposes of these rules are to ensure that accurate handicaps are kept and that all competitive play is fair, consistent, monitored and verified. All member rounds of golf (including away courses and tournaments) should be correctly and accurately recorded in the Handicap computer system. (See Golf Shop staff if you require assistance or have questions) Cancellation of all club event participation must be done 48 hours prior to the event start time or the participant will be responsible and charged for all costs (if any) associated with the event. Registration prior to club events is expected of all members participating in the event. At registration, scorecards are given out and allow the club to ensure that balanced attendance on all teams takes place. In club events, your team or personal scorecard should be exchanged and recordings kept by your playing opponent(s). Scorecards are to be signed by the marker, confirmed by the competitor(s) and submitted immediately following completion of play. Deadlines will be set for club match play events and the club will enforce coin tosses for matches not completed in time, unless reason has been communicated with the committee chair for the event or the Head Golf Professional with a scheduled match date arranged. The Match & Handicap Committee has the final authority and is responsible to monitor member handicaps and the accuracy of tournament scoring. Failure to comply with any or all of the above regulations may result in disqualification, suspension from member event play and/or disciplinary action by the Board of Governors.

5 Junior Swing Lessons Saturday, June 3 rd 12:00 noon Tuesday, June 6 th 6:00pm Saturday, June 10 th 12:00 noon The junior swing lessons are designed for junior golfers of all ages and skill levels. The lessons are one hour and covers driving, chipping, sand shots, putting and general golf strategy for juniors. Following the completion of the swing lessons the professional staff will organize tee times for the junior members to go out and play. The professionals may even join in for the games! Who is eligible Any current junior, junior youth, or sponsored junior as well as friends and family are eligible Costs These junior swing lessons are free of charge for all Elmhurst junior members! 6 Junior Orientation Saturday, May 28 th 11:30am 12:00pm (Prior to Junior Opening) Code of Conduct Review and understand Dress Code Clothing not acceptable at Elmhurst includes the following: i. Short shorts ii. Jeans iii. Cut-offs iv. Track shorts v. Muscle shirts vi. Tank tops vii. Football/hockey/baseball or similar jerseys Shirts must be tucked in Caps must be worn with the brim forward Dress code applies to parents visiting the club Playing Times Weekdays anytime except between 3:30pm and 5:30 pm Weekends and holidays after 1:00pm General Membership Entitlement Tab and signing privileges (subject to credit policy) Club storage and pull cart (club storage not available to Junior Youth) Only one guest is allowed to play with a junior member. Casual green fee for a non-member junior is $28 taxes included.

8 Junior Manning Cup Match play with Handicaps Rules of Play Boys tee-off from white tees, girls from red tees Open to all Elmhurst junior members Match play rules apply 18 holes Prizes for the two finalists In handicap match play, the lower net score wins the hole. Player with most holes won after 18 holes wins the match. If tie at end of 18 holes, play additional holes starting at #1 until a player wins a hole using net scores. All matches are single round knockout elimination All matches will have posted deadlines for completion A coin flip will determine all matches past deadline Matches may commence begin the last week of May All tournament Matches should be completed by September 6 th Cost No Cost Phone , proshop@elmhurstcc.ca or sign-up in person at the junior bulletin board by Sunday, May 21 st

9 Elmhurst Junior Team Challenge TBA 18 Holes of Team Net Best Ball play (handicaps in effect). Tee Times will start at 1:00pm. Sign-Up as a TWO JUNIOR team with a combined handicap of 12 or higher. MAXIMUM of 12 teams may sign up so register early! Rules of Play Two person teams will compete against the rest of the field in a net best ball format. Full Handicaps will be used for competition. Open to all Elmhurst junior members Prizes for top teams Cost & Prizes No cost to enter. Prizes awarded at the Junior Closing event. 11 Junior Golf Camp Monday, July 10 th Tuesday, July 11 th AND Monday, July 31 th Tuesday, August 1 st Daily from 10am to 2:30pm Includes 2 hours of hands on instruction each morning covering putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, trouble shots, full swing. Advanced players will receive instruction on flighting the golf ball, advanced wedge play, bunker play and trouble shots, shot shaping and course management. 12 Canada Day Scramble Saturday, July 1 st Agenda Registration begins at 8:00am Shotgun start at 9:00am Round of golf may exceed 5 hours based on size of field Lunch and prizes will follow completion of play Format Pick your own team of 4 players or sign up as individual and Golf Shop will help create team Groups will play as 8-somes for scoring equity & fun! Texas Scramble 18 holes All ladies will play from the red tees, all men and juniors will play from the white tees Modified Handicaps Top 4 Low Gross and Top 4 Low Net teams receive prizes Open to male, female, and junior members. Optional team pari-mutuel wagering Cost $40.00 per player. Includes lunch and prizes. A breakfast buffet is available prior to the event at an extra cost. Format Stroke play, 2 rounds Rules of Play Boys tee-off from white tees, girls from red tees Stroke play rules apply 2 rounds of 18 holes The top 4 low gross players will comprise the provincial junior interclub championship team Divisions are set by Golf Shop through handicaps Prizes will be awarded for 1 st and 2 nd low net and 1 st and 2 nd low gross in each handicap division. ALL juniors encouraged to qualify regardless of skill level. A fantastic introduction to friendly competition for all players! Rules of Play Full handicaps will be used for qualifying and competition Cost No cost to enter Qualifying for the team will take prior to each event Junior League scores or otherwise. 16 PGA of Manitoba Pro - Junior Wednesday, July 16 Kingswood Golf Course Agenda Food and awards following completion of play Format Team Elmhurst will consist of 3 junior players and one PGA Professional from Elmhurst Texas Scramble with Modified Handicap 18 Holes Rules of Play Full handicaps will be used for qualifying and competition Top teams will receive prizes Cost No cost to enter and includes golf and prizes Qualifying for the team will take place between July 1 st to July 10 th. Notify one of the professional staff on the day you wish to play your qualifying round. Before your round a professional will sign an official score card for your round.
