Please contact the Club (330) or Golf Shop (330) with any questions. CLUBHOUSE & GOLF COURSE DRESS CODE Golf Course: Men must wear collared shirts at all times. Shorts must be Bermuda length or a style designed for golf. Ladies must have sleeves OR a collar. Denim of all types, tank tops, t-shirts or athletic shorts are not permitted on the golf course, driving range or practice facility. Clubhouse: Acceptable: Denim (Mixed Grill, Golfers Grill & Patio), Golf Attire, Ladies may wear hats, Babies & Toddlers in non-golf attire. Not Acceptable: Torn, ripped or frayed denim, denim in main dining room, athletic attire, swimwear, cover-ups board shorts, children over the age of 5 not adhering to the dress code and clothing with offence language, pictures or symbols. Men must remove hats when indoors. We appreciate that all Members inform their guests of the proper dress cove when visiting the Club. 7 Clubhouse News Jennifer Dolph General Manager Happy August! Can you believe we are almost ready to go back to school!? This season has absolutely flown by and I can t say enough about how much fun it has been to see all of the activity going on at the Club! Going into August we have a few changes in scheduling and a few events that I want to make everyone aware of. Member/Guest will be held August 11 th August 13 th. The Fox Meadow Clubhouse will be closed all day on Thursday and will be open for evening dining on Friday from 5-8pm only. Saturday will be open regular hours. We will be going into Back to School Pool Hours starting on August 17 th. The pool will be open Monday Friday from 3pm-8pm, Saturday from 10am-8pm and Sunday from 11am-8pm. Snack Bar and Cabana Bar will be operating on Thursday Sunday only. Outside food and beverage will be permitted starting August 16 th on Mondays-Wednesdays only. Our Labor Day Weekend activities will include the Luau on Saturday, September 3 rd with music by Island Jim and Labor Day BBQ with Bounce House and DJ on Monday, September 5 th! Don t miss out on these final activities of the Summer! Our first annual Bubble Family Fun Day is sure to be a great event as we have a certified Bubbleologist coming to teach you all about the science and wonder that are BUBBLES! I can tell you from experience it is as much fun for the adults as it is for the kids! The cost is $20 per person and includes a delicious lunch buffet! You don t want to miss this one! Our improvements at the Club this past month have included replacements and repair on 4 coolers and freezers which may not seem exciting but cold beer and frozen ice cream at the pool is VERY important! We received our second shipment of Driving Range equipment which includes range dividers, trash cans, club scrubbers and raised coolers for the water on the course! We are still waiting on our clock for the range too! What a difference though! The hole signs had been put on hold as the crew worked on keeping the course in the best shape possible through the heat but will be installed within the coming weeks. August will be the final month for $2 Tuesday and we will be going to Burger, Fries and Beer night on Tuesdays starting in September! Also look for a menu change in the Fall as well! 8 Membership News Brittany Starnoni Director of Sales Hello Fox Meadow Members! I am shocked that August is already here! Where did the summer go?! As many of your know (or saw on the Fox Meadow Facebook page) I held my bridal shower at the Club this past weekend. Thank you for all of the support that you all shared on Facebook. It s so fun to celebrate our upcoming wedding at the Club that we not only work but also where we first met! I honestly can t believe our wedding is right around the corner let the countdown begin! Okay, back to membership :) We had another successful month for enrolling new Members, with the help of Member referrals which are still going strong! If you have any questions about the benefits of referring a new Member to the Club, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone, or stop me any time at the Club. There are different benefits for different membership categories and I would love to help you bring your friend or family member into your Club. At the end of this month, August 31st, we will be hosting our Cupcake Wars New Member Party. Previously this year, we held a Mixology Mix-Off which was a great success; so we decided to change it a bit and we will now have four different cooks with four different cupcakes to taste! New Members, current Members and their Guests will taste each cupcake and vote which one they liked the best. That cupcake will then be added to the desserts for September! What better way to meet and mingle with all of our New Members than with cupcakes and cocktails!? If you know someone who is considering membership, please bring them to this fun event! During the month of July we enrolled 7 new families to the Fox Meadow family as well as! Please join me in welcoming the Gearhart family, Haberfield family, Rucker family, Kosty family, Attewell family, Dobie family and Phillips family. We are so happy to have you all with us and look forward to seeing you all at the Club soon! I know I say it often, but I feel like I can t say it enough thank you all for your continued support of myself, membership and the Club itself. If it wasn t for you, there wouldn't be a Club at all! My doors always open if you should need anything. Thank you for another great month and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Cupcake Wars!

9 Chris Lawson Members, Golf Shop News Head Golf Professional Wow I cannot believe that it is already August. The month of July was very busy here around the club. We had 48 teams turn out for The Tradition, and 18 couples play for the Couples Open Championship. Congratulations to Mike Kelley and Brian Shaffer for 2 nd Place Finish in the Tradition and Dave & Lisa Thompson for winning the Couples Open Championship. Fox Meadow Member/Guest will be held the 11 th, 12th, & 13 th of August. This is going to be a great 3-Day event for you to show off your club to your closest friend, family member, or client. So find someone that you could play 3-Days of golf with and call the pro shop to sign up. This is a must attend golf tournament of the year, and you ll be sorry if you don t. This month is still full of golf tournaments to participate in! We have the Senior & Women s Club Championship along with the Men s Club Championship, and of course the Member/Guest Invitational. If you have any questions regarding any of the upcoming tournaments, please contact me. The Pro Shop Sale of the Month will be ALL WOMENS APPERAL 25% off the retail. Jr. Golf will still have the golf course one last time on Wednesday August 10 th. The program is going strong with more than 70 kids participating. We will have the final week on Wednesday August 10 th with normal play day in the morning and the Banquet that night starting at 5:30pm. We are still looking for volunteers for every Wednesday morning, if you would like to help please contact me in the pros hop. I would like to remind everyone about checking in with the Pro Shop before your round, and please all play must start from the 1 st tee, unless instructed by the Professional Golf Staff. I appreciate everyone s understanding. I would also like to make everyone accountable for fixing their ball marks and filling their divots. Jeremy and his staff are doing a great job with the golf course, but we need to make sure we do our part to help maintain the greens, tee boxes, and fairways. Please try and leave the course better than you found it! If anyone has any question, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know. See you soon!

They have been very fun evenings to look forward to! We will be switching up our Tuesday s starting in September where we will be removing $2.00 Tuesdays and brining back our Burger, Beer & Fries night! Everyone will receive a Burger Tuesday sheet where you are able to choose your protein, bun, toppings, sides and sauce! We have a lot of new options available for Burger Tuesday s this year including a few healthier options that I think everyone is going to enjoy. Take a look and let us know what you think! With August already here, it is now the perfect time the begin booking and planning all of your holiday parties. Let us take care of all of the stress of planning and preparing your holiday party! I would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss possible date and options for any and all of your upcoming holiday party needs. We already have dates in November and December filling up, so if you are thinking about hosting an event, please contact me as soon as possible so that I can reserve your date. We have a lot of fun events coming this month! Live entertainment by Jim Gill on the 5th and Steve Fazzini on the 19th (babysitting night available for both of these events, reservations required). Our first ever Bubble Party by the world record holder for the largest bubble bubbleologist Dr. U R Awesome! And don t forget to save the date for Mutts & Martinis on Friday September 3rd! 12 Golf Course News Jeremy Slota Golf Course Superintendent Membership of Fox Meadow: Happy August, and I m sure like us, you re asking where the summer went. Before long, the kids will be back in school and football will be back on the field. With that said, it seems the weather trend of July will follow into August, with temperatures in the 90 s and uncomfortable to oppressive dew points. These conditions have made maintaining fine-cut turf very interesting this year, with disease pressure always lurking and most importantly, the managing of our water usage. We are excited for the month of August because it brings the Member/Guest Invitational. This is the 1 st event that we highlight on the calendar when Chris rolls out the new Tournament books every year. Our staff enjoys the hustle of a shotgun start each of the days of the Invitational, and especially enjoy the tournament preparation. We are working feverishly to have the new Information Board installed at the Driving Range by time of Member/Guest, along with the highly anticipated Tee Hole Signage. These are great, long awaited additions, and will enhance the overall appearance and experience at Fox Meadow. Besides prepping for Member/Guest, the Greens and Grounds Department has been carrying out a variety of other tasks around the golf course: Weeding and edging bunkers Trimming Kirby yardage markers Washing and polishing ball washers and trashcans Hand trimming weeds where spraying would be excessive Fertilizing greens surrounds Solid-tine aerifying of greens Re-portioning of sand on #13 left, pot bunker Multiple and continuous irrigation repairs Trimming of Fescue areas (# s 8, 16) Following the Member/Guest Invitational we have a plan in place to repair the vandalism damage to #15 green. The weather and playability of the green are the two key components of this repair. With the Fox Meadow Club Championship taking place at the end of the month, it may behoove us to wait until after, at which point we will do so. We are monitoring the damaged area daily for golf ball deflection and continuing turf loss. As for the rest of #15 green, the health and root structure is great and in line with the rest of the golf course. Have a great August and we look forward to seeing you out on the golf course!
