3 How we got here Uesugi Farms, Inc. is a family owned company that has been growing fresh market produce since Over the years, our farming operation expanded greatly. We now grow many types of produce including bell peppers, strawberries and pumpkins that are sold to markets and at our Morgan Hill produce stand. As the demand for pumpkins increased, we opened a seasonal pumpkin patch where families could come and select their favorite pumpkin for Halloween. In time, the pumpkin patch became more and more popular. We started adding attractions, live entertainment, school tours, snack shack, gift shop and the Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off. Over the years, the pumpkin park has grown to cover 40 acres with over 80,000 visitors each October. Many local and bay area families enjoy visiting Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Park and make it a family tradition to come back each October.

4 A little about giant pumpkin contests The Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) is the major organizer and sanctioning body overseeing competitions in giant pumpkin and vegetable growing. The GPC sets the recognized standard for all world records in the curcurbita maxima family as used by Guinness for their World Record endeavors. GPC growers have set the World Records for over 15 years. Now with more than 70 weigh off locations throughout the world, the GPC and its sponsored sites are attended by hundreds of thousands spectators. The Uesugi Farms Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off The second weekend of October, we will host our 23 rd annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off. For the past 7 years, Uesugi Farms Pumpkin Park has been a certified weigh off sight for the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth. This certification brings larger pumpkins to the competition and larger crowds to see them.

Food and beverages of any kind are not allowed to be given to customers. Sponsors, their staff, employees and agents will comply with all codes, laws, ordinances and regulations pertinent to health, fire prevention and public safety, including, but not limited to obtaining any necessary health or seller s permits required. Sponsors are responsible for submitting their own resale taxes. Sponsor sales are not guaranteed. Specific placement of banners and logos in promotional materials is at the discretion of Uesugi Farms. The event happens rain or shine. Sponsor shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless Uesugi Farms and its officers, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, actins, liability, damage, loss or obligations, including all costs, demands, expenses, expert fees and costs, and attorney s fees arising out of Sponsor s activities pursuant to this Sponsorship Agreement, including by way of illustration and not limitation, the following: (a) any injury to or death of any person or damage to or destruction of any property occurring in or on Sponsor s equipment, or any part thereof; (b) any default by Sponsor in the observance or performance if any of the terms, covenants or conditions of this Sponsorship Agreement; or the use, occupancy or condition of Sponsor s equipment or activities herein.
