2 About Bell Bay Golf Club Bell Bay Golf Club is a place where the staff knows you by name and where you can come and play a fantastic championship design golf course without the crowds. It s a place where members enjoy playing with new members and guests as well as a place where members care about their golf course and actively make it better all while enjoying this beautiful patch of well-manicured grass. Tom McBroom designed, Bell Bay was crafted to optimize the beautiful views of the picturesque Bras d'or Lakes in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and to firmly establish the hamlet of Baddeck as a golf destination. Skillfully blended into a sloping hillside overlooking the town, Bell Bay exudes a classic, timeless feel and features traditional dimensions that accentuate the scenic vistas and the golfer's appreciation for the natural beauty of the land. The front nine is generally open and scenic, while the back slips into heavily forested, wilder terrain. Bell Bay is notable for the final four holes, which build to a climatic finish. Site of the 2005 Canadian Amateur championship, 2016 & 2017 Cape Breton Open a Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada event & home of the 2019 Nova Scotia Golf Association Men s Senior Championship, Bell Bay endures as one of Canada's most loved and admired courses. At Bell Bay we host a variety of events, leagues and clinics that are open to both members and guests and are always filled with great times and mediocre golf! Weekly Men s league, Ladies league and Members league are all organized by the Club with weekly prizing and are all handicapped, so anyone can be a winner regardless of skill level. Equipped with two PGA of Canada Professional, the staff at Bell Bay is determined to provide exceptional service to all members and guest ensuring both enjoy our beautiful golf course. The Golf Professionals are always looking to make you a better golfer, whether you are looking for a quick preround tip, weekly clinic or a one on one private lesson to tackle your worst golf habits, Bell Bay always has a Professional available for you. The turf crew here is pound for pound the best around, they provide all golfers at Bell Bay with near perfect conditions on the golf course and on our outstanding practice facility. The Golf Shop is stocked with golf s top brands with the newest styles and models on the market. If we don t carry it, we can get it for you, and we can give the best price on almost anything in the golf industry.

3 The Golf Course Bell Bay Golf Club is an 18-Hole parkland style course spread out over a majestic undulated land overlooking the beautiful Bras D Or Lake. This McBroom classic is a 7037 yard par 72 Championship golf course known for its prestine course conditioning. Our beautiful course can be enjoyed both on foot or in a power cart and was carefully laid out in a way that allows the golfer to play 6, 9, 13 or 18 holes and be within a short walk from the parking lot. For members that work and only have limited time to play, this design feature allows them to play a quick 6 before sunset. The golf course is a challenging layout but is very fair what you see is what you get! Strategy at Bell Bay will help you navigate this never-boring design but the heavily dense wooded areas surrounding the carpet liked playing surface will make you pay should you have an errand shot.

5 Bell Bay Golf Club Policies & Procedures Tee Time Reservations & Cancelation Policy Members of Bell Bay can book tee times 7 days prior unless bringing a paying green fee with them in which case they can book 30 days prior. The cancelation policy at Bell Bay is 24 hours and should you need to downsize your group please advise the Golf Shop at least 2 hours prior. Cart Rental Policy Power carts are not mandatory at Bell Bay Golf Club. A maximum of 2 riders per power cart is allowed and a maximum of 2 power carts are allowed per foursome. To operate a power cart, you must have a valid driver s license. Each rider is required to pay for his/her seat before teeing off. Check-In Policy All members must check-in with the Golf Shop before teeing off. Under no circumstances will a golfer bypass the Golf Shop or start on a different hole without permission from the Professional Staff. Sunset Policy All golfers with a power cart must return the power cart at sunset with no exceptions. Sunset is determined by Environment Canada and can be view on their website. The outside hosts will let you know what time you should be in prior to teeing off. Member Billing Accounts All members can charge purchases at Bell Bay Golf Club for a monthly billing, upon the member establishing an account. The account is to be opened with a credit card and a credit limit will be given. Each account holder will receive an receipt for any transactions posted to the account. The member authorizes Bell Bay Golf Club to charge the credit card on file on the 1 st of each month to pay off the balance on the account. All outstanding account balances will be subject to a monthly 2% interest rate and suspension of playing privileges until payment has been processed. Pace of Play All golfers should adhere to our pace of play policy. We have Player s Assistants and Starters to assist you in maintaining a go pace of play. Out time par from the course is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Handicap and Club Events All members at Bell Bay receive a Golf Canada membership which allows you to enter scores online to generate a valid handicap. Members are expected to enter every round they play at every course regardless of score. To participate in any event at Bell Bay you must have a valid Golf Canada handicap if not you are considered a 0 handicap. Golf Canada dues are mandatory for all memberships. Alcohol No outside alcohol is permitted at Bell Bay Golf Club. There is no exception to this rule! All alcoholic beverages must be purchased from Bell Bay Golf Club
