What s different about P2 grips? The key feature of the P2 putter grip is the patented positioning of the shaft within the grip. Unlike any other putter grip where the shaft is positioned through the centre, in the P2 putter grip the shaft is positioned at the back. How does this improve your putting performance? The position of the shaft increases the angle of both wrists and locks them in position throughout the stroke. This prevents any unwanted hand movements resulting in less rotation of the putter face and a square impact with the ball each time. The higher positioning of the wrists also allows the forearms to be aligned in perfect symmetry with the shaft of the putter and putter face. This ensures the hands, wrists, arms and shoulders all work together to produce a smooth pendulum stroke. *US Patent 9,421,439. Chinese patent No. CN European patent pending no Did you Know? The time a putter is in contact with the ball is of a second.your stroke better be good! Page 2

The Golfer s Lifeline If you review any good putting coaches blog post, instructional article or video, you will see that the optimum positioning for the grip while putting is through the lifeline of both hands. By positioning the grip high in the palm, it limits the amount of influence the wrists can have throughout the stroke. However, this is at odds with what golfers are asked to do with their grip for full shots with irons and woods. Here you are encouraged towards a grip that is more through the base of the fingers, allowing the wrists to hinge correctly in the backswing and follow through. Using a P2 grip means you don t have to think about how to grip the putter correctly. It just becomes natural and effortless. Controlling the Smaller Muscles The P2 range of grips are designed to be heavier than most standard oversize grips to assist a golfer s control of fine motor skills. Fine motor skills are skills which involve the small muscle groups such as the hands and fingers. These skills use fine and intricate movements for example when playing darts, snooker or putting in golf. Fine motor skills require more control and hand-eye coordination than gross motor skills. Each P2 putter grip has been designed so that it sits higher in the palm and fits into the lifeline without any conscious effort on the part of the golfer. What will have felt very strange to the golfer with a conventional grip will instantly feel more comfortable with any of the P2 range. Also, as the shaft of the putter is housed at the bottom of the P2 grips, you still have the sensation of gripping the putter in the base of the fingers making it feel more natural. Golfers who putt well have a high level of fine motor skills. This simply means they have the neuro-muscular ability to move and control objects with their hands at slower speeds in a consistent, repeating and very precise manner. For the golfers who do not have a high level of fine motor skill, by placing a substantial weight in the grip, the hands feel that heavier weight and are better able to move in a more consistent manner. Page 3

Your Putting Health Check Positioning the Putter Head When you set-up your putter behind the golf ball, make sure the sole of your putter is positioned flat on the ground. This ensures the putter face is not tilted and points directly at your intended starting line. If the toe of the putter is off the ground, this aims the face of your putter to the left of the target, and is also a sign that your putter may be too long for you. If the heel of the putter is off the ground, this aims the face of your putter to the right of the target, and is also a sign that your putter may be too short for you. This position allows you to gain the full effect that the off-centre shaft design of a P2 grip has on the wrist position at address. If you are not sure that your putter is the correct length for you, speak to your local PGA Professional for advice. Page 4 Finding the Sweetspot One of the most critical elements of good putting is the ability to strike your putts from the sweetspot of the putter. Many golfers do not realise that when they line up their putts they do not have the putter centred behind the ball. Often the ball is positioned slightly toe or heel side of the sweetspot. Test your set-up by placing a pencil or a pen directly behind the centre of the golf ball in line with a target. Position the alignment aid on your putter directly over the pencil/pen to check your starting position. Hit some putts from this position and feel the difference.

Control Your Backstroke A lot of short putts are missed by the golfer bringing the putter back too far, giving the putter face an opportunity to open or close excessively. This causes unwanted adjustments during the through stroke and often results in a missed putt. A long backstroke also causes the golfer to decelerate through impact, which results in the ball not reaching the hole or a slope having too much effect on the ball due to the lack of pace. The Wind Factor A A factor that a lot of golfers fail to take into account is the effect the wind can have on the golf ball during a putt. Although the wind might not be strong enough to move a ball at rest on the green, as little as a 7 mph wind can have an effect on the golf ball as it rolls towards the hole. Next time you read a putt and if the wind is strong enough, keep this in mind when deciding how much break to play. In both images the wind is blowing from the left, in putt A the break is right to left and you can see the wind reduces the amount the putt breaks and the finish is to the right of the hole. B In B the putt breaks left to right and due to the wind breaks more severely across the slope and finishes right of the hole. Page 5

New Tour Range 50% lighter with all the design benefits of the P2 grips and ideally suited to golfers who prefer a lighter grip. Tour range also available in Aware, Classic and React designs Page 7

The P2 Range Classic The Classic is a hybrid paddle pistol grip. Both sides of the Classic are flat and designed to fill out the palms of both hands. The grip tapers from top to bottom, and features our patented off-centre shaft technology. Page 8

P2 Grips P2 Grips Reflex The Reflex is biggest grip in the P2 range. The sides of the Reflex have been further rounded and feature a minimal taper from top to bottom to reduce tension throughout the hands and arms. The Reflex features our patented off-centre shaft technology and provides a wide flat section for both thumbs to sitcomfortably. Page 9

P2 Grips Aware The Aware is a hybrid paddle pistol grip. Both sides of the Aware are flat just like the Classic, but is smaller in size and takes up less of the palms. The grip, although smaller, still ensures the palms remain square to the putter face. The Aware is for golfers who want the benefits of the P2, but don t like the feel of an oversized grip. Page 10

P2 Grips React The React is an oversized grip with rounded sides, but is smaller than the P2 Reflex. It features a minimal taper from top to bottom to reduce tension throughout the hands and arms. As with the Reflex, the React features our patented off-centre shaft technology and provides a wide flat section for both thumbs to sit comfortably. Page 11
