Our new president, Cole Smith, is going to do a great job. Cole loves East Ridge Country Club and will make us all proud. If you weren t able to make the Stockholder s meeting, I d like to tell you a few of the things we accomplished in In addition to the normal repairs and maintenance, we have a new snack shop/bathroom. This is a very nice addition to our club. Todd Burns is mainly responsible for this becoming a reality. Although we did receive help from many members, that support did not meet the cost of this facility and Todd made up the difference. If you haven t already contributed, please do so. We had new pumps and motors installed in the pools and they should last for many years to come. We are adding a patio area behind the ballroom that will add to the East Ridge experience. It will also allow us to host larger events in the future. In the Loser Buys lounge at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club, we put in new flooring, chairs and a bar. If you haven t seen it yet, you should check it out. It looks very nice. Now, I forgot about a few people to thank at the Stockholder s meeting that I d like to thank now; Grady Wilson, the director of tennis at POTC is doing a fine job and has been at POTC for eleven years. Ricky Rogers, who, by the way, works way too hard and too many hours for us. We are so fortunate to have a general manager like Ricky. He loves ERCC and is constantly thinking about giving us more value for our membership. Last, but not least, my wife, Kendra for enduring the year as the first lady. Although she was very supportive and helpful, she s more than happy to relinquish that title. So, that will do it for me, thanks again. I look forward to seeing you at our wonderful clubs. 6 GOLF COURSE RULES & GUEST FEES GOLF COURSE AND GUEST RULES Golf carts are $18 per rider. We ask that you double up on carts. Tee times can be reserved 48 hours in advance. All golfers must check in to the Pro-Shop before play. Male golfers must wear sleeved shirts with a collar and shirt tail MUST be tucked in. Denim is NOT allowed on the golf course. We ask all golfers to sand divots, rake bunkers and repair ball marks on the greens. Guest fees - $75 weekdays and $95 weekends Family guest from out of town are charged at ½ price of green fee. Tennis Social I members may play 2 times per month after 3:00 p.m. and must pay ½ price green fee. Junior golf guest fee (middle or high school) are ½ price of greens fee. Any member s children, in school, 25 years or under, are allowed to play under their parent s membership. Member s whose children are 26 and older need to have their own Junior Golf membership or the parent will be charged a guest fee. The golf professional on duty has the authority and has been instructed by the Board of Directors to enforce the above policies AZALEA MATCH PLAY TOURNAMENT The 2017 Azalea Match Play is a 4-month (April July) match play event allowing you and your fellow competitor the opportunity to play your match at an agreed upon time during the month. All Flights will be seeded by handicap index. Championship Flight will be played head to head competition. All other flights will be played allowing for the difference in handicap. This is a new event on the calendar and the entry fee of $100 will be billed at the end of the event in July. Please call the pro shop for details or to sign up for the event.
