Rees Jones did a spectacular job of restoring and enhancing our classic A.W. Tillinghast track, and the finished product has exceeded all our expectations. These two masters of the craft combined to create a course to rival any in the region, and we are fortunate to call it our home. This booklet is a guide to all of the events, services and activities planned by our golf staff in Jeff Combe and his team are anxious to serve you and your guests before, during and after each round, while Brady Finton and his crew have worked tirelessly to provide fantastic playing conditions. We look forward to taking great care of you and your guests at your Club. Thank you, Jason Fiscus General Manager

3 PACE OF PLAY Pace of play is to be a maximum of 4 hours for an 18-hole round of golf. Please keep pace with the group in front of you. Here are a few tips to help maintain a proper pace: Always look forward not back. On the tee, the player who is ready should hit. Play as soon as the group ahead is clear. Take appropriate clubs to your ball and hit without delay. When riding in a cart, drop your partner at their ball, and then continue to yours. On the green, place extra clubs between the green and the next tee. Study your putt while others are putting. Putt out if possible instead of marking. Leave the green immediately after holing out and proceed to the next tee. Complete your scorecard on the next tee. 90-Degree Rule Members are asked to use the 90- degree rule (diagramed to the right) at all times when carts are allowed off of the cart paths. This practice helps ensure the best possible playing conditions in the landing zones of the golf course. Thank you

9 GOLF HANDICAPS Handicaps based on the official U.S.G.A. formula are established and maintained for all golf members. A minimal fee is charged by the Club to maintain your handicap and is billed during the first quarter of each year if you have an established handicap or once you set up a handicap. It is required that each player post his/her score for every round. This includes the correct score using equitable stroke control (ESC) and the correct tee information to the Pro Shop. Scores that should be posted include: Post scores from home and away course(s). For an away course, please give the course rating and slope. Post scores in all forms of play: match play, stroke play, even team competitions in which you are requested to pick up your ball. Post your score when you play at least 13 out of 18 holes or at least 7 out of 9 holes. On the holes you didn t play, record par plus any handicap strokes you would have received. Post your 9-hole scores even if it is the same 9 holes from different days. The computer will simply combine the two 9 holes into an 18-hole score. The computer will add each 9-hole Course Rating together and average the Slope Ratings. Equitable Stroke Control Handicap Maximum Number on any Hole 9 or less Double Bogey 10 through through through or more 10 Handicaps will be computed throughout the year. The handicaps will be updated and posted on the 1 st and 15 th of each month. For your convenience, a computer monitor is located in the Member Services area to provide updated handicap information.
