3 ABOUT THE CLUB Riverside Course, Trent Lock About Us Trent Lock nestles between the picturesque locks of the River Trent and is within easy reach of the major motorway networks, train station and Nottingham East Midlands Airport. A proprietary owned golf complex providing a relaxed and inviting atmosphere for golfers and non-golfers alike. The clubhouse is the focal point of the complex and was built in 1992 to encompass panoramic views of the golf course and rolling countryside towards the River Trent itself. Both the 9 Hole Canal Side Course and the 18 Hole Riverside Course were designed with the needs of golfers of all abilities in mind. Each course represents a challenge, test of skill and offers a great deal of enjoyment. The Riverside Course has been designed to embrace a number of water features in a tranquil setting adjacent to the River Trent. Traditional features add to the attraction of the par 70 course which measures some 5993 yards in length. Each of the holes test the skill and nerve of players at all levels, providing a challenging yet satisfying round of golf with great views. The attention to detail that prevails within the golf complex also extends to innovation on the 22 bay floodlit Driving Range. With 12 bays now housing the latest power tee technology which allows your concentration to remain firmly focused on your swing. The short game area also provides a perfect practice facility, designed with two greens, one of which is surrounded by bunkers, three hitting areas including true strike mats and a grass tee for approach shots which allows you to practice pitching up to 100 yards, chipping, bunker play and putting around the green. Locks Bar & Coffee Lounge is immensely popular and has gained a deserved reputation for fine home cooked food served in relaxing surroundings. 6 GOLF SOCIETIES & CORPORATE EVENTS How to Proceed with Your Booking How to book First we request that you contact club reception who will be able to confirm the dates and times that are available. Once you have agreed on a date and time you will be asked to complete the booking form and return it along with a deposit to secure your booking. Please note deposits are non-refundable or transferrable to cover the cost of any balance owing. Once we have received your completed booking form and deposit, you will receive a letter confirming your golf day arrangements together with a receipt for the deposit paid. Final numbers are required 7 days prior to the reservation date. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions Balance of your booking confirmation can be paid prior to your date or on the day of your arrival when you check-in. PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO PAY FOR RESERVED NUMBERS CONFIRMED 7-DAYS PRIOR The balance for each player attending MUST be paid in full at check-in on the day of arrival and prior to your tee reservation. At check-in you will be given all the information relating to your booking. Once your balance has been settled in full for all pre-arranged services, your tee reservation will become available to your society/group booking together with confirmation for any dining/menu options you have pre-arranged for your day s events. If you wish to pre book any Additional Services prior to your event date, please contact a staff member of Club Reception or Events Team who will be happy to discuss and confirm costs and add to your booking. Directions Trent Lock Golf & Country Club is located at Sawley, off the B6540 between Long Eaton and Castle Donington. We are easily accessible off the M1 Motorway and both A50 & A52. From the M1 travelling North exit at Junction 24 Take the 2 nd exit sign-posted A50 Stoke Leave the A50 at Junction 1 signposted Long Eaton, leave the island at the 5 th exit on the B6540 to Sawley, Long Eaton. Continue along this road for approximately a mile and a half until you see signposts for Trent Lock Golf Centre on your right hand side. Turn right just after KAM Auto Centre signposted Trent Lock Golf Centre Continue approximately half a mile along this road. Trent Lock Golf & Country Club will become visible on your right hand side. From the M1 travelling South exit at Junction 25 Take the 2 nd exit signposted towards Long Eaton. Passing the Novotel on your left you will approach a mini roundabout at which you should turn right towards Long Eaton. Continue straight across the first roundabout (Eaton Farm Restaurant on your right) until you approach a small roundabout with Long Eaton Railway Station on your right hand side. Turn right at the roundabout under the railway bridge. Continue for approximately half a mile until you see signposts for Trent Lock Golf Centre on your left hand side. Turn left just before KAM Auto Centre, sign-posted Trent Lock Golf Centre. Continue approximately half a mile along this road. 8 GOLF SOCIETIES & CORPORATE EVENTS GOLF & SOCIETY BOOKING Terms & Conditions Cancellations/Postponements i) In the event of a cancellation the client will forfeit any deposit(s) paid. ii) All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Confirmation of final numbers is required 7 days prior to the event. Tee times, food options and *pre-booked arrangement & services (eg buggies, golf tuition etc) must be paid in full in advance or at check-in. No charge for *pre-booked services when cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the event date and issued with a cancellation confirmation reference. Handicaps An official handicap certificate is not required, however, if a player s ability in the opinion of our Course Marshall or any member of our Golf Team is affecting other golfer s enjoyment due to slow play, for example, they will be asked to leave the course without refund. Rules & Etiquette All players will be expected to know and abide by the rules of golf and any local rules set out by Trent Lock Golf & Country Club. Appropriate golf attire is to be worn and our strict dress code must be adhered to at all times. Failure to do so will result in the individual being asked to leave the course without having their fee refunded. Appropriate dress code is deemed as the following; Shoes: Golf shoes ONLY (No training shoes, dress shoes etc) Shirts: Collared shirts ONLY (Strictly NO tee-shirts, football shirts etc) Trousers: Tailored trousers ONLY (No jeans, tracksuits, ¾ length, cargo etc) Shorts: Tailored Shorts above the knee ONLY (No sports shorts, football shorts, cargo shorts etc) Tops: Sweater or Jacket ONLY (No hooded tops, football tops or jackets etc) Shirts must be worn inside the waistband at all times. The sharing of golf bags and clubs is not permitted at any time. Each player must have their own bag and clubs when playing the course. Amenities & Changing Facilities Secure changing rooms and shower facilities are available to all guests. We do not provide a locker service and therefore advise visitors to ensure they securely lock their golf clubs and other possessions in their vehicle when not required as we do not accept liability for the loss or damage to personal belongings or effects etc. Trent Lock Golf & Country Club accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings. Designated Smoking Areas All areas within the complex at Trent Lock Golf & Country Club, including the driving range, are designated non-smoking areas in line with Government Legislation and our Health & safety policy. Please Note: There are designated smoking areas located in Locks Garden and on the terraced balcony of the Nicklaus Suite.
