Can be arranged at a convenient time to the club for a fee of $25 by contacting the golf shop at Elks CC - (402) PRACTICE FACILITIES: Practice areas will open at 7 a.m. Range balls are complimentary and will be available on the practice tee. REGISTRATION: FOOD & BEVERAGE: LOCKER ROOM: CADDIES: TRANSPORTATION: Formal registration will begin at 7 a.m. next to public scoreboard. Players are required to check in prior to their morning start time. Please check in before heading to the practice facilities. The snack bar will be open for food and beverage service beginning at 7 a.m. Players may pay cash or use a credit card for purchases. You may use the locker room but individual lockers are not available. A player may provide his own caddie. Exception: A player may NOT use a parent, step-parent, or a guardian as a caddie. Transportation is prohibited during the round. Players and caddies shall walk at all times during the stipulated round unless otherwise specified by the Committee. Pull/push carts are permitted. GROOVE STANDARDS: It is a requirement that a player s clubs conform to the groove specifications provided in the Rules of Golf. See separate memo attached to this document for specific details. RANGEFINDERS: The use of Distance Measuring Devices is permitted.

3 DRESS CODE: FOOTWEAR: GOLF BALLS: PACE OF PLAY: EVACUATION PLAN: PLAY-OFF: SPECTATORS: QUALIFIER PLACES: LOWEST SCORE: CHAMPIONSHIP: Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. The Committee in charge will decide whether this requirement has been met, and has authority to withdraw the entry of a player who does not comply. Elks CC is a spikeless club and, therefore, spiked shoes will not be allowed. Penalty for breach of the spikeless rule is disqualification. Only brands of golf balls on the most current USGA List of Conforming Golf Balls may be used. The One-Ball Rule is in effect. Qualifying participants must play without undue delay and in accordance with guidelines established by the Committee that are included in this packet. In the event of a discontinuance of play during the qualifier, players must adhere to the evacuation plan distributed at the first tee. In the event of a tie for the last qualifying place, there will be a hole-by-hole play-off to determine place winners and alternates. Any announcements regarding the play-off will be made at the public scoreboard upon completion of the qualifying round. Spectators are allowed and encouraged to follow a golfer. The use of golf carts for spectators is prohibited regardless of reason. There are 42 entrants competing for 1 qualifying place. Silver medal, if a tie, duplicate medals will be awarded.
