4 FROM THE GOLF PRO Spring is here. The Golf Season is upon us. Now is a great time to take advantage of some of the many great deals the Club is offering for the golfing season. Advance Purchase Guest Fees (APGF s) are available to buy until April 30 th. These cost $50 each and can be used throughout the golfing season. If you are planning on bringing guests to the club this year, purchasing these guest fees in advance will save you money. The 2017 Golf Calendar was ed in March to our membership. If you did not receive a copy via , please contact the Golf Shop and one can be mailed directly to you. If you notice, our Men s and Ladies Opening Days are just around the corner. As always these events promise to be fun spirited and a great way to meet new friends. Every Tuesday evening, the club will continue the 9-Hole Ladies Golf League we started seven years ago. These events will begin on Tuesday, May 9 th with golf starting at 5:00PM. The Golf Professional staff will host a small group clinic each Tuesday night starting at 4:45 for these golfers prior to playing. Weekly topics will include rules, chipping, golf cart policies, and anything else the group wants to discuss. Come out and play a no frills nine holes. There is no competition and no prizes. Drink and dinner specials will be served in the Donald Ross Grill after play. This is a very stress free league open to our lady golf and social members. Plus, for a limited time, it is open to all Ladies members that do not yet have golf privileges. We want you to come out, see the course, enjoy the facility, and build new friendships. More information will be ed about this league in the coming weeks. Several weekly golf clinics will start in April and will continue throughout the next few months. Don t miss our ever popular Ladies Only Clinics every Thursday night starting April 6 th. These clinics will start at 5:30 PM and run for an hour each night. The Annual Knock off the Rust Clinic will be held for our entire membership regardless of classification or gender from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Wednesday April 19 th. In late April, we have a Short Game School. This will be on Wednesday, April 26 th running from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM. Whether you are a new golfer or an experienced player, these numerous clinics are for you. Let us help you improve your game! For our members with limited to no golf experience looking to learn the game, we have something for you as well this year. More details will be released in May on a brand new beginner golf school!!! Tee times are now required every day. Members may book tee times 2 weeks in advance for weekdays. We will once again use the online system for weekend tee times. Like last year, members can log onto our website Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM to book times for the upcoming weekend. Members may also call the golf shop to set up tee times. The driving range will open Saturday, April 1st. Hours of operation for the range the month of April will be 8:00 AM 6:00 PM. Golf Lessons and club fittings are now available. If you have never seen your swing on video before, set up an appointment. Seeing is believing and it will help your game. All of our club fitting carts have arrived. Demo clubs are available to use everyday from Titleist, Cobra, Ping, Taylor Made, and Callaway. The Golf Shop Staff is here to help you. If you have any questions regarding any of the new equipment, please ask. Plus, as I always have promised, you will NOT find a lower advertised price on clubs then you do here at Edgewood and you get the clubs professionally fit for you free of charge!!!! Demo days have been scheduled with some of the major club manufacturers in the game. The companies will bring all of their new product line and their state of the art launch monitors to ECC these days so our membership can be fit like the tour players. Ping, Titleist, and Cobra will be here on Friday, May 5 th from 4:00 7:00. Taylor Made and Callaway will be here on Saturday, May 6 th from 11:00 3:00. Finally, PXG will set up shop here on Sunday, May 7 th from 11:00 3:00. Stay tuned for more details on how to sign up to be fit during this Demo Weekend.

5 FROM THE GOLF PRO Finally, here is a reminder from the Handicap Committee. The posting of scores will begin on April 1 st. Handicap Computers are located in the Golf Shop and Men s Locker Room. If you are turning in scores after the golf shop is closed in the evening, simply slide the scorecard under the golf shop door and the score will be posted for you the next morning. All nine hole and eighteen hole scores are expected to be posted from now through October 31 st. Handicaps will update on the 1 st and 15 th of every month this season promises to be a fun and exciting year. Please contact the Golf Shop to register for any of the clinics mentioned or if you have any questions regarding the upcoming Golf Season. We will see you at the club!!! Pete Micklewright Head Golf Professional 2017 Advance Purchase Golf Guest Fees Normal In-Season Guest Fee Weekdays $70 Weekend $85 Family Guests will remain $45 on weekdays and $55 on weekends Advanced Purchase Guest Fee - Only $50.00 Available NOW until April 30, 2017 in the Golf Shop Please call or us at golfshop@eccgolf.com Members now have the opportunity to purchase Guest Fees in advance for a discounted rate with the following conditions. Members may purchase from 3 to 48 Advance Purchase Guest Fees (APGF). Members may use up to 11 APGF at one time. APGF are available under this program until April 30, 2017 and must be paid for or billed to the member account prior to this date. All APGF purchased for the 2017 Golf Season must be used by December 31, The use of an APGF is subject to the policies governing guest play. Each APGF is valid for only one guest fee. No credit will be issued if the APGF is used during a time when normal guest fees are reduced. APGF are 18 hole guest fees only. Cart fees are not included. Once redeemed, they can not be used again regardless of the number of holes played (unless the course is closed due to severe weather conditions). APGF are not transferable to other members. APGF may not be used during any Member-Guest or Invitational. APGF will automatically be redeemed by the Golf Shop Staff unless otherwise told.
