5 FAIRWAYS GOLF BOOKING SERVICE Four Seasons Fairways offers you the opportunity to play no less than 35 different golf courses across the Algarve, including some of the most beautiful courses in Europe. In addition Fairways members and guests benefit from possibly the best range of discounted green fees for these courses. BOOKING PROCEDURE Please read our information carefully, paying special attention to the cancellation and handicap policies in operation, complete and return our golf booking form. A booking fee of 3 Euro is charged for each 18 hole golf reservation made and 1.50 Euro for 9 holes. We suggest you forward your requirements as soon as possible and every effort will be made to accommodate your requests. PLEASE NOTE, a completed golf booking form, including handicap details and lead name signature, must be received to enable us to process your request. TEE-TIMES When completing your request form please state which part of the day you wish to play. Most of the golf clubs operate on cross-over times, normally between 9:30 to 12:00, and therefore it s not possible to book within this period. We have secured various guaranteed starting times at Quinta do Lago. However, these times have a stricter cancellation policy. Due to the increase in golf bookings in the peak seasons we cannot guarantee requested times and will allocate an alternative time unless you have stated that you do not wish to play at any other time. We do not advise you to request golf for your day of arrival as the golf clubs don t accept a flight delay as a justifiable reason for a refund. PAYMENT OF GREEN-FEES Upon your arrival at Fairways, please visit our Golf Booking Office to collect your vouchers. You will be required to pay for all your pre-booked golf at this stage. Payment can be made by cash, in Euro, or by credit card. We are no longer able to charge green-fees to villa accounts. Failure to present a voucher will result in players having to pay the full green-fee at the golf club prior to their game. Four Seasons Fairways cannot be held responsible for any increase in green-fees or tee-time alterations made by the golf clubs. PLEASE NOTE, Diners and American Express credit cards are no longer accepted for payment of green-fees. CANCELLATION Please pay special attention to the cancellation policies enforced by the individual golf clubs any cancellation charges incurred will be your responsibility. In the event of green-fees having to be cancelled due to sickness, a possible refund will only be issued upon presentation of a medical certificate, always subject to the golf club approval. Whilst we appreciate that most golfers do not wish to play in inclement weather, players choosing to cancel pre-booked rounds will be subject to cancellation charges, unless authorized by the golf club. PLEASE NOTE, golf clubs reserve the right to withdraw the use of buggies during prolonged wet periods.

6 HANDICAP CERTIFICATES Most of the golf clubs in the Algarve INSIST on seeing your handicap certificate. Failure to do so when asked may result in the golf club refusing you entry onto the course, and you will forfeit your green fee. DRESS CODE An appropriate dress code is strictly adhered to in the Algarve. Gentlemen must wear polo shirts with sleeves and collar, ladies are permitted sleeveless shirts, tailored shorts (with belt straps) are permitted and socks must be worn (they may be short). Golf shoes must be worn and most golf clubs insist on soft spikes only. PLEASE NOTE, denim, t-shirts, training shoes, sandals and beachwear are not permitted on the course. SPECIAL NOTES Mobile telephones are strictly prohibited on the golf course. FAIRWAYS SINGLE STABLEFORD GOLF COMPETITION Our Four Seasons Fairways Club Competitions are held regularly at Quinta do Lago South, where eight Portuguese Opens have been played and Pinheiros Altos, host to various qualifying sessions for the Senior European Tour. These courses meander through the spectacular 2000 acre estate and afford delightful views of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, providing a solid test of golf for players of all levels of ability. The competitions are held on Tuesdays with am tee-times, which may change without prior notice. When played on Quinta do Lago, the competition will be followed by a three course prize-giving dinner, held in the Four Seasons Fairways restaurant. The price per player is set as per table below and the guest s dinner is priced at 22. Quinta do Lago North & South 01/09/2017 to 15/09/ /09/2017 to 31/10/ Alternatively, when played at Pinheiros Altos, the competition will include a canapé and drinks prize-giving at 18:00 in the clubhouse, all for and amazing price of 77 per player! Don t forget to log onto our website for all the details, including the summer competitions, during June, July and August. PLEASE NOTE: Tee - times not used have to be returned to the golf club the previous Thursday and the competitions will only be held with a minimum of 16 players. Cancellations or alterations must also be made, at the latest, on this day; otherwise your booking will be taken as confirmed. Participants who do not attend the prize-giving dinner will not be eligible for a prize. Winners will also be asked to present handicap certificates.
