Wacky Miniature Golf Tournament $ setup fee and $ per person Filled with obstacles and water hazards, our 18-hole miniature golf course is a charming challenge with a WACKY twist. This crazy tournament features unusual putting challenges including one leg putts, pool-style, blindfolded, dizzy and more. Minute to Win It $ setup fee and $ per person, per hour Compete in a variety of mini-games that challenge you to complete a task in less than a minute. Race against the clock while testing your brain power, dexterity and time management skills. Water Olympics - $ setup fee and $ per person, per hour Team building for champions! Let your group discover their inner Olympiad through a series of water challenges in our aqua park. Wet and wild competitions include hula hoop pass, over-under relay, inner-tube relay races and a tug of war. Beach Olympics - $ setup fee and $ per person, per hour Challenge your group in a sea of sand with the Beach Olympics. Your team will learn how to work together while competing in games like volleyball, sack races, egg runs, blind & find, three-legged races and much more. Conquer the beach in this challenge of champions. Relay Races $ setup fee and $ per person, per hour It s survival of the quickest! Create a challenge for your group with relays like a crab walk, egg run, wheel-barrow race, dizzy run, sack race and over-under games. Water Relays $ setup fee and $ per person, per hour You are sure to have a splashing good time in the team water relays. Step up the challenge by adding a water element in games like over-under, no hands run, fill the bottle, water balloon toss and tug of war. 4 CULINARY TEAM BUILDING Chili Cook-Off $ per person plus cost of meal (30 min) Spice things up by adding a chili cook-off to your dinner plans. We provide the basic recipe and it s up to your team to add the fixin s. Let the most amazing chili win! The evening concludes with the Resort Chef giving the award to the best pot of chili. Mystery Basket Challenge $ per person plus cost of meal (30 min) Just like the famous cooking show! La Torretta Chefs create Mystery Baskets for each group of cooks. The mission? Create one regular entrée plate utilizing the items from the shared pantry and the mystery basket items. Points are awarded based on: Final Taste 60%, Presentation 20%, Cleanliness & Organization 10%, Utilization 10%. This is one activity sure to cook up a ton of fun. Cake Decorating Challenge $ per person (60 min) Creativity takes the cake! Each team will have one hour to ice and decorate a cake. Teams are provided a layer cake, piping bags, tips, spatulas, mixing bowls, and plain butter cream icing. All other ingredients are provided on a shared station and the cake must be on the judge s table before the time runs out! Gourmet Cheese & Wine Class $ per person (45 min) Learn about wines of the world and gourmet cheeses. It s the perfect activity for those who enjoy a little taste of sophistication. Wine varieties, how to choose the proper wine and how to pair food and wine are just some of the subjects covered, while our Chef serves up some delectable samplings from around the world. BBQ Sauce Cook-Off $ per person plus cost of meal (30 min) Looking for an authentic Texas activity? Fire up a BBQ Sauce Cook-Off. It s an exciting way to add a splash of creativity to your BBQ meal. Slather on the fun as dueling teams pit their recipes against each other to determine, once and for all, just who ll be the boss of the sauce! Fiesta Challenge $ per person (30 min) Create your own fiesta! We provide the recipes and you provide the twist. Teams compete to make their own special margaritas and signature guacamole recipes. Afterwards, toast the winners as you spice up your meal with these one-of-a-kind creations. Alcohol separate, based on consumption. Salsa Challenge $ per person (20 min) Ready, set, salsa! With a few basic recipes, a table of simple ingredients and 20 minutes on the clock, each team competes to create the ultimate salsa masterpiece. La Torretta Chefs determine the winning salsa. The best part, of course, is sampling all of the entries. Brown Bag Cook-Off $ per person (60 min) What s in the bag? Five secret ingredients for a tasty creation. Each team will have access to a stocked commissary, as well as the necessary tools needed to complete the cook-off. ALL secret ingredients must be used. Our Chef will judge each dish based on presentation, originality and of course, taste. Dessert Wars $ per person (60 min) Stimulate creativity, artistry and your palate while honing vital bartering skills. Mission: Design and build 1 regular-size show dessert and 20 miniature versions in only one hour. Each station has its own unique ingredients so bartering is encouraged in order to build the best plated dessert. Teams must trade their way to victory! The Mix-Off $ per person (60 min) It s cocktail time. Teams will be provided four liquors Rum, Vodka, Tequila and Bourbon to create a refreshing concoction. One member from each team will have 5 minutes to choose the mixers, fruits and garnishes needed to create their team s drink, as well as 3 minutes to select their desired glassware. Our talented mixologist will judge each beverage based on presentation, originality, name and taste. The winning drink will be served in the lounge that evening. 6 TEAM GOLF ACTIVITIES Par 3 Challenge $ per player for 18 holes, $ per player for 9 holes Stroke of genius. Each hole will be played as a par three hole ranging from 131 yards down to 90. Special tee stakes will be placed to designate teeing ground. Play is restricted to afternoon only with a 24-player minimum for 9 holes and 36 for 18 holes. Par 3 Sports Challenge 9 Holes - $ per player with $ setup and supervisory fee Swing into fun! Each hole will be played as a par three hole ranging from 150 yards and down, and will feature a different sports challenge including Kick Ball, Rally Ball, Tennis Serve and more. Roughly two hours of play. Golf Skills Olympics $ per player with $ setup and supervisory fee And the gold goes to Tee up for a variety of challenges including the High Jump, Three Pointer, Splash and Chip & Putt all sure to test your golfing skills. One Club Challenge 9 Holes - $ per player Hit the links swinging. Each golfer gets one club and one putter to use over 9 holes. Players can receive a set number of golf balls to use for play until they re out or until they complete the course.
