4 Working members track your hours in the log book Working members are required to contribute 16 hours of service per year. Locate the red notebook hanging on the back wall of the indoor range. Log your hours on the page that matches your last initial. Thank you! NEW 450 SCORE BOARD 300, Indoor 450, Outdoor Field/Hunter and club outdoor 3D Shoots will be kept for a November 15 th tally of top scores for each of the 4 shoot categories, bow style and age category. First place in each will receive a nice award at the December 3 Holiday Awards dinner. State and Regional Indoor Shoots in each category held at our range will also count toward club championship. Special fees or scorecards? Not this year! Pay the usual shooting fees and turn in the usual club scorecards. What if my score is eligible for posting on a scoreboard? Member scores with signed cards are always eligible to make it onto one of 3 indoor scoreboards: Indoor 300, Indoor 450 (NEW) or Outdoor Field/Hunter board. Write BOARD SCORE on your submitted scorecard if you think you qualified to be sure it gets put up by the Indoor Range Captain, Mark Hersey Indoor 450 Round Board Scores Archer M/F Age Style Score X Donald Ish M MS TRAD Gabrielle Garrett F SS BHFS Carl Wakeland M S BHFS There were no other board scores turned in. Note from Indoor Range Captain: Turn in your signed scorecards for all club shoots whether it is a board score or not. Those scores will still count toward the 2017 Club Championship awards in December! 2017 Club Championship Competition Purpose: A fun way for club members to participate in our monthly and special event shoots and to improve shooting scores for self-satisfaction or for other competitions outside of the club. How does one enter? Be a current club member in good standing, attend any or all of the club shoots during the calendar year, and be sure to turn in signed scorecards. All ages and bow styles are eligible. What happens to my scores? If there are corrections needed on the website, send an to scarchers@comcast.net m. Novelty Chair Belle Leporini (by , no report) Old Business: A. 3D In the Redwoods Shoot was a success. - Fifty or so archers - Thanks to the weed whacking crews, the range raking crews, the set-up and take down crews and the tree whacking crew. - Thanks again to the Sturm BBQ Team! - Visitors from other clubs had lots of compliments. - Having a single aiming stake was discussed. Compound shooters missed having the longer shots. B. Me-One Foundation Archery Class - Saturday, July 8, Scotts Valley - Instructors and assistants welcome (more is better) - Meet-up time and place: Mission Springs dining hall, time TBD C. Aloha Shoot, Sunday, July targets, marked distance - Set-up that morning at 7:30, Shoot starts 10 am - Flyers are on the bulletin board - Plenty of leis left from last year. D. Bad Boys of Branciforte - Sunday, October 1 - Discussed the range marker faces. The bad boy (bandit) is a keeper. The skull will be replaced with something else. E. Firewood storage. It s on pallets, but needs a roof or a tent before October. New Business: A. Ian & Erica want to reserve the indoor range for a practice session. No objections, but post the times to the calendar so other instructors are aware. B. NFAA sent 39 proposed revisions to the bylaws and shoot rules. Some require discussion; some remove or change shooting classes; some are text clean-up. A subcommittee of Andy, Erick, Henry, Marty and Mark stayed after the meeting and reviewed the proposals. Responses were sent to the region. C. There is a bee hive in the back wall of the records room. The bees have a private entrance (knot hole in the siding under the eave). Erick has a co-worker who keeps bees and will ask him to relocate the hive. D. Marty proposed purchasing epoxy-coated distance markers for the field range. He met a supplier at a recent shoot. These would be anchored to the current concrete blocks. Proposed a budget of $900 for the full set (field, hunter and animal). Second by Mark. Passed unanimously.
