2 President s Report By Jeff LeMere First off I would like to thank all those who have attended our meetings and have supported our chapter. This year attendance was greatly improved. We have had some very interesting presentations this year Mr. Mike Basile from the United Stated EPA; Mr. Rand Ackroyd from the Plumbing & Drainage Institute; Mr. Mike Rider, Master Brewer, gave us some tips on brewing beer at home; Mr. David Schlant, M/E Engineers, set up an awesome tour of the Buffalo Zoo s tropical rainforest venue; Mr. Ira Schumer, Husky National Sales Manager, gave us a very informative presentation on the various clamping types; Our own VP, Technical, John Daly, of Trautman Associates, had a very detailed presentation on building survey / inspections and generating the final reports, and our most recent presentation was put on by National Fuel Gas Corp. Again, thank you very much!! This month s general meeting will be a little different the date is Monday, May 16 th at 12pm at the Sonoma Grill, Main Street, Williamsville, NY. This will be a joint meeting with ASHRAE. The topic: Tank/Vessel Safety. The cost will be $25. Please confirm by May 12 th to an ASPE Board member Golf Outing: Monday, June 20 th at Bridgewater Country Club. Same as always why mess with perfection? Please refer to the flyer attached. Hole sponsorships will also be available. Next year our chapter will be 40 years old we have a variety of events planned for this occasion. Membership Report By Joe Eppolito, Jr., CPD A couple of big local events coming up for next year We will be celebrating our 40 th anniversary as an ASPE Chapter, and we are in the process of putting together details for a banquet of some sort. We will hold the next Trade Show next Spring. Details for both events will be published when they are finalized. One option is to hold both events on the same day. If you have any suggestions, give one of the board members a call or . Our annual golf outing is scheduled for Monday, June 20 th, 2011 at the Bridgewater Country Club in Fort Erie, Canada. We are also looking to our local supporters for hole sponsorships at $100 each. This is our only fundraiser of the year. Look for the registration forms for the golf outing and sponsorships as part of this newsletter. Copies can also be found on our website at or by dropping me a note. Let me know if you know of anyone looking to join our ASPE chapter.

The total will be $75 per person US currency.
