Point of Access The coast of the travel to and from the host country () should be covered by the participating country. The organizer will ensure transportation from the point of arrival in the host country to the place of stay. Points of arrival: Bahrain International Airport and King Fahad causeway. 5. Conditions of stay During the mission s stay from. 13 th to 21 st in Manama, kingdom of Bahrain, the mission will be guests of the Bahrain Defense Force. Board, lodging and all transportation arrangements to commence the championship schedule within this period will be at the expenses of the organizers. Extra expenses (telephone, drinks, laundry, etc...) as well as coast of travel to and from Bahrain are to be paid by the participants. Any coast before the foreseen arrival date and/or after the departure date must be covered by the participants. Additional personnel expenses will be on participant exposes 6. Championship Format The CISM Golf Regulations, revised February 2011(as amended), in conjunction with the Bahrain National Golf Association, the CISM Policy Manual and the CISM Procedures, as well as local rules as discussed in the Preliminary Meeting will apply throughout. The Championship format will consist of both individual and Team competitions over 72 holes of medal play over a period of four (4) days. Men and women will compete in separate categories. Within the men's category, there may be an Open and Senior category. To participate in the senior category, men must be 40 years and older on the first day (Tues ) of the championship. The overall champion can come from either the Open or Senior category. If a senior player is declared the overall champion, the next best senior player will be declared senior champion. Individual Champion. The winners in each category will be defined by the aggregate gross score over the four days of play. Team Competition. To be eligible to compete in the men's competition, a minimum of four (4) players must represent the team. For the women's competition, a minimum of two (2) players will represent a team. For the men's competition, the best four (4) gross scores of each day will count. For the women's competition, both gross scores of each day will count. At the end of the four-day competition, the men's and women's team with the lowest aggregate score will be declared the team champions. Ties. If two or more players are tied, the tie will be broken in accordance with Article b of the CISM Golf Regulations. Only pull carts will be allowed during the competition. Page 5 of 12

6 A minimum of two rounds would be required to constitute a completed championship. An individual penalty of disqualification shall rule out the player from the individual championship; however, the player may continue to be eligible to compete in the team championship. Decisions of the international jury will be final. The fair play trophy (Male and Female) will be awarded to the nominated team. 7. Anti-doping Anti-doping tests will be organized in Accordance with the CISM anti-doping regulations Policy Manual Chapter IV The number of tests shall be determined by the CISM anti-doping commission established during the preliminary meeting, according to the CISM Regulations. The tests will be performed according to the latest WADA anti-doping code and procedures. 8. Dress Code The competition will take place during the start of winter in Riffa, and the national summer uniforms are required for Opening, Closing and official CISM events and as determined by the Organizing Committee. Dress code at the Royal Golf Course: The following dress code must be adhered by all participants, visitors and officials to the Clubhouse, entrance to the Club, Practice Range and Range Office. Please dress smartly at all times: - Tailored shorts, knee length with pockets and zip. - Collared shirts - long or short sleeved - tucked in at all times. - Above ankle sport socks - long or short. - Smart golf sweaters/sweat shirts. - Only golf shoes or sport shoes. Women dress should be smart and non-revealing: - Skirts, trousers, tailored shorts of medium of long length. - Collared sleeved/sleeveless golf shirts. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE WILL RESULT IN BEING REQUESTED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY. 9. Customs and visa Procedures The participants needing a visa, should the passport copy to the Organizing Committee before 1 st May Weather conditions Temperature: degree C Humidity : 60 80% 11. Medical Care Medical support for the duration of the event will be provided by the host. They will cover costs for basic emergency treatment only. In case of additional treatment, hospitalization and or routine medical care, participating nations will be responsible for the payment thereof. Therefore, we highly recommend getting travel and health insurance during the stay in the. Page 6 of 12

7 12. Agreement s Deadlines. Please note and comply with the following deadlines: Preliminary agreement of participation. Annex A to be submitted before 1 st April Final agreement of participation. Annex B to be submitted not later than 1 st August 2014 Note: late submission may result in refusal. Final entry-composition of the Mission Annex C to be submitted by 1 st August Commitment by the Chief of Mission Annex D by 1 st August Any nation withdrawing from participation after submitting Annex B and fails to notify the Organizing Committee accordingly will be held responsible for all related costs incurred by the Organizers. On the preliminary entry form, the participating mission shall indicate a valid address and an operating phone and fax number in case the organizing committee needs to contact some of participating mission. 13. Eligibility. All players must be military personnel on full active duty in the Armed Forces of their respective nations (art of the CISM Regulations). Players should present a valid military identity card upon registration. Participation of inactive member nations are not authorized to participate (art.7.24 of the CISM Regulations). 14. Additional items and information. Chiefs of Missions are kindly requested to bring along the following items: CD (01) with National anthem National flag (02) (3' by5') Gift (optional) for Chief of Mission Gift exchange. Any special dietary needs should be conveyed in advance in order to ensure that it is catered for. Water from taps in Bahrain is safe for human consumption but bottled water is highly recommended for drinking. 15. Currency. The local currency is the Bahraini Dinar. 1 US $ is roughly equivalent to BD 16. 12 ANNEX-C COMMITMENT OF THE MISSION NATION: The undersigned, Chief of Mission declare that he has read the Article of the CISM Regulations and moreover understood the following prescriptions: A. Chief of Mission 1. Chiefs of Mission shall be familiar with CISM regulations. 2. Missions must not only participate or be present at sports events, they are also required to participate in information conferences on CISM, study days, commemorative and cultural events and ceremonies organized by the host nation. B. Conduct of a mission 1. The Chief of Mission is responsible for the behavior of his team in sports and general discipline. He shall ensure that members of his mission respect the rules and directives prescribed by CISM and organizers of the championship. The respect of schedules is particularly important as they form the basis for the effective conduct of competitions and ceremonies. Instances of indiscipline or poor sportsmanship will be handled by Championship officials and may result in the disqualification of individual athletes or teams. 2. The Chief of Mission shall also enforce the rules concerning behavior and dress during the ceremonies. He plays an important role in promoting the CISM spirit among his mission, a spirit represented by friendly attitude towards other missions, courtesy towards organizers and fair-play in competition. The mission, who does not wear military uniforms during the opening ceremony of a Championship, will not be authorised to take part in the Championship. The Official CISM Representative will communicate this decision. 3. In conformity with the Statutes and traditions of CISM, any political or religious action during a CISM event, in particular the dissemination of propaganda documents, pictures, brochures, reviews, etc, is strictly forbidden. Any contravention shall result in the exclusion of the mission from further competition. As chief of Delegation, I declare my nation will participate in the 8 th World Military Golf Championship.
