1 Welcome Welcome to Cherry Lodge Golf Club. Our aim is to offer an outstanding service and to help you organise your event so that you re free to enjoy the day without worry. We can t guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee pretty much everything else a superb course and a fabulous venue for your society day, where we will take care of every last detail for you. Our high standards are reflected in the high levels of repeat bookings we have: most societies come back year after year. Golf days can be booked Monday to Friday weekends subject to availability, excluding bank holidays. Unlike other clubs, we don t charge a premium for certain days, nor do we dictate to you how you organise your event of course we have guidelines, but within those we will do our utmost to be flexible and to ensure you and your guests have a day to remember. Included in this pack are some sample packages and prices, and these can be tailored to suit your requirements. Menu options will be confirmed once we know which package you prefer. We can also help you with any additional services for the day itself, such as nearest the pin or longest drive holes, scoring, starting, prizes, photography or video, golf tuition or group clinic, and much more. Just ask at the time of booking or any time before the event. We ve included a general information sheet: please pass this to your players so that everyone is aware of dress requirements and other guidelines before the day. 2 Society/Visitor information Location Cherry Lodge Golf Club is located in Jail Lane, on the outskirts of Biggin Hill. Jail Lane is off the A233 see a map of our location on our website at and go to contact us where you ll find a link. Alternativel, for sat nav systems, enter our postcode which is TN16 3AX. Dress code On the course: Please ensure you adhere to our club dress code and wear clean, smart golf clothes and golf shoes (hard or soft spikes). Tailored shorts may be worn but should not come below the knee. They should be accompanied by long socks with turnover tops of short white ankle or trainer sock. All shirts must have either a collar or a turtle neck and must not be worn outside trousers or shorts. No tracksuits/shellsuits, jeans, trainers, etc. In the clubhouse: Golf or smart/casual clothing (at the discretion of the management) may be worn at any time in the main bar, casual bar and lounge areas, golf shoes can only be worn in the casual bar. Smart/ casual clothing, Tracksuits/shellsuits, jeans, t shirts and trainers are not permissable. 3 Society/Visitor information continued Format of play All players to use the tees of the day (yellow for men; red for ladies/ juniors). Please ensure play is in three or fourballs where possible, and Stableford format is preferred. Texas scrambles are not permitted. We ask that everyone follows normal golfing etiquette regarding speed of play, repairing divots, raking bunkers, and so on please help us to ensure everyone enjoys our course at its best. Mobile phones Mobile phones must be switched to silent mode at all times. Please go outside the clubhouse to make or take a call. We also ask that phones are not used out on the course except in a genuine emergency. Trolleys/Buggies We have buggies and trolleys available for hire. We recommend you order in advance before the day, either via the group booking or individuals should call the Pro Shop on Practice facilities We have extensive practice facilities here at Cherry Lodge: a driving range with distance markers, a practice chipping area and bunker, and a putting green. 6 Terms and Conditions A. Confirmation On receipt of a completed booking form, together with a non-refundable deposit of 100 (One Hundred Pounds), a contract will be deemed to exist between Cherry Lodge Golf Club Limited (the Company ) and the person or body booking the golf day (the Organiser ). B. Cancellations If a golf day which has been booked by the Organiser, and is subsequently cancelled by the Organiser: 1. Less than seven days prior to the event date, the Organiser (Society) shall be charged for all catering costs incurred by the Club. 2. The Company reserves the right to cancel the booking on immediate notice if the holding of the golf day is prevented by reasons beyond its control. In the event that the booking is cancelled by the Company any monies paid on deposit will be reimbursed but the Company shall not be liable for any other matters whatsoever. C. Changes in numbers In the event of the Organiser wishing to change the number of places reserved, then the following conditions shall apply: 1. If the Organiser wishes to increase the number of places then, subject to availability, the Company shall make such places available and the Society shall be charged accordingly. 2. I f notice of a reduction in the number of places is received by the Company less than 48 hours before the date of the event then the Society shall be charged 100% of the catering costs for the number cancelled. Additional charges for Green Fees lost will be at the management s discretion. D. Liability Neither the Company nor its agents or servants shall be held responsible for any claims for loss or damage to property or for any injuries sustained by those visiting the premises provided that nothing in this agreement shall limit the liability of the Company in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of its employees. E. Weather/course Reductions or reimbursements may be offered but on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of the management.
