St. Thomas Golf and Country Club has a tremendous past with names like Norman, Knudson, Weir and many others who are a part of our history. The club formed over 100 years ago and moved to its present location in 1922 when Canadian Golf Hall of Fame architect Stanley Thompson designed this rare gem. In 1973, another Hall of Fame architect Clint Robbie Robinson re-designed parts of the course layout. St. Thomas Golf and Country Club, also referred to as Union due to its location, is rated in the top 50 golf courses in all of Canada. Few other courses in the area are consistently ranked higher. There are many ingredients that make a great Club, but one of the most important is the people. You will find the members of our Club to be warm and welcoming. You will have the opportunity to join us for our regular league play and tournaments as well as our terrific social events. The other important people at our Club are the employees. We have a wonderful group of dedicated people who sincerely want to make your experience at St. Thomas Golf and Country Club fun and enjoyable. You will enjoy one of Canada s finest golf courses, outstanding food service, the best golf academy and practice facility in the area, a professional golf shop with the latest in equipment and fashions, and members and staff who will make each experience enjoyable for you, your family and your guests. ABOUT ST. THOMAS GOLF & CC Over 115 years old, St. Thomas Golf and Country Club is one of the few clubs formed in Ontario prior to the year 1900.

We have had the honour and the privilege of hosting many great tournaments over the years and in 2018 our Club will host the Men s Ontario Amateur Championship.

Work on the course is on-going to maintain St. Thomas Golf and Country Club as one of Canada s finest golf courses. The present course has a par 72 (36-36) from all tees and measures 6848 yards with a GAO rating of 73.1 and a slope of 128 from the championship tees. A new set of shorter tees makes this great historic course more playable for seniors and juniors alike. The success of St. Thomas Golf and Country Club lies in the fact that for more than 115 years the consistent leadership of elected directors have made it their goal to build and maintain a superior golf course and to provide facilities and service of high quality. There can be no doubt that we are proud of our past, and that we look to our future confident that we will always have one of the greatest golf courses in Canada right here at St. Thomas Golf and Country Club. 3

I can see him out there, saying This green has to go there. Wait, there s an equally good site there. Let me think about this. Okay, here, which means we ll go there for the next hole. What a piece of property. And then he d walk some more and smile and let his creativity flourish as he created one of Canada s most entertaining and challenging courses. I can t wait to return. 9 A FOCUS ON JUNIOR GOLFERS St. Thomas Golf & Country Club is dedicated to our Junior Members as we recognize that they are the future of the game and our club. Our professional staff offer a wide variety of junior development programs from beginner to elite, both boys and girls. Junior Members also enjoy a relaxed, social, learning environment through our junior league program offered on Thursday evenings throughout the golf season; clinics are offered followed by a fun round of 3-9 holes, playing various games. Once all the necessary golf skills and etiquette are learned, our juniors can test their skills in our season long match play championship with flights for all ages. 8

Social Member An individual and or a Family (including dependent children under the age of 18 years old) who are entitled to only clubhouse privileges and does not include golfing privileges and or the use of the club s golf facilities. Social Limited Golf Full social membership, may attend all social events, access to practice facilities, 20 nine hole or 10 eighteen hole rounds in the year of purchase, may invite guests to play (all guest restrictions apply), may add locker (if available) for additional fee, GAO entry for fee. Restrictions include: Saturday, Sunday and Holidays restricted until after 11:00am, Friday before 4:00pm, restricted from league play and the following golf events: Member Opening and Closing and Club Championships. Corporate Social Membership issued in the name of the Corporation. Rights and privileges are that of the Corporation and are not transferable. May tee off Monday 8:00 a.m. - noon; Tuesday 9:30 a.m. - close: Wednesday, Friday, weekends and Holidays after 2:00 p.m. with a parent and after 4:00 p.m. without a parent at the discretion of the pro shop. Juvenile Sponsored Member This category includes the children, from age 10-14, of non-members. Applications for sponsored juvenile members will require review by the Golf Professional and must successfully complete the junior/juvenile assessment program, developed by the Golf Professional. Restricted golfing privileges. The same restrictions apply as the juvenile member. Junior Associated Member This category includes the children and grandchildren, from age 15 to 18, of Principal/Family members. Restricted golfing privileges. Unqualified juniors have the same restrictions as Juveniles. Qualified juniors are restricted only before 10:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays. Junior Sponsored Member This category includes the children, from age 15-18, of non-members. Applications for sponsored junior members will require review by the Golf Professional and must successfully complete the junior/juvenile assessment program, developed by the Golf Professional. Restricted golfing privileges. The same restrictions apply as the junior member. Student Associated Member This category includes anyone who is a full time student at a post-secondary institution and can provide proof of enrollment. Age limit 25 yrs. Exempt from any initiation. Q: Do you have locker room storage? A: We offer locker storage for men and women. Should you require a locker for the season, please contact the office staff and they will provide one to you for a yearly fee. Q: Do you have a dress code? If so, what are the guidelines? A: Yes we do have a dress code. There is a specific dress code for both the Golf Course and Clubhouse.
