Come join your fellow Moose members this fall in Myrtle Beach, SC, for the 2017 Fall golf tournament! The Scramble will take place on Friday October 27, and the tournament will take place Saturday and Sunday, October 28 29, Consider ing the attached registration form to your members, ensuring that all are aware of this exciting opportunity to enjoy some fun in the sun, and some great Moose fraternizing out on some of the best golf courses in the country! The deadline to register for this tournament is September 27, Online Registration For The 2018 International Texas Hold Em Poker Tournament Is Now Open! Access to online registration for the 2018 Texas Hold Em Poker Tournament is now available on the Moose International website at under: Programs & Events / Sports / Texas Hold Em. The tournament will return to the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will take place from January 14 17, Players will arrive Sunday, January 14 th, play in the tournament between January 15 th 17 th, and depart on Thursday, January 18 th. The deadline to register is Monday, December 4, Members may opt to mail in a physical registration form, which is downloadable in the same location on the website. Please note that all mailed entries must be postmarked no later than December 4 th to be accepted. Please share the attached registration information with your membership so they have an opportunity to take advantage of this fun event that has become an annual tradition for so many of our members. Also, please encourage members to register early; seats in the popular morning session of the tournament go fast, and will be given to registrants on a first come first serve basis. Only Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose members holding an active membership at the time of the tournament will be eligible to play and compete for tournament prizes. All players must present a valid photo I.D. and a valid Moose membership card. 2. Good sportsmanship will be the prevailing attitude throughout the tournament. Tournament Director and/or Moose International may recommend disqualification of a player for unsportsmanlike conduct or tactics detrimental to the tournament. 3. Gambling on the tournament is not permitted and will result in disqualification and forfeiture of prize money. 4. No entry forms will be accepted unless all information is entered and entry fees are paid in full, by the established registration deadline. 5. All remittances must be in the form of a check, money order or credit card in U.S. funds. Checks and/or money orders should be made payable to Moose International and earmarked with the current year and name of tournament. 6. General Liability Waiver Policy: All participants must sign a general liability waiver on site at the time of registration. Failure to do this could results in disqualification. General Waivers can be obtained in advance for review by calling (630) or by ing cruffino@mooseintl.org. 7. Refund Policy: Participants will be eligible to receive a full refund when cancelling prior to the registration deadline date. After this date, no refunds will be issued, regardless of the circumstances. No entry fees will be refunded if it is found that some teams or individuals have failed to comply with all the rules and regulations governing this tournament. This policy will be strictly enforced in all Moose International tournaments. 8. Substitute Policy: In cases of death, injury, sickness, or other emergency, Moose International may approve a substitute s participation. All substitutes must present a valid photo I.D. and a Moose membership card. Moose International will not be involved in the exchange of any monies between the involved parties either relating to registration fees or prize money awarded. Moose International retains the right to authorize and/or decline, any substitute s participation. Substitutes will be authorized to participate without pre-registration as many times as needed for unexpected absences of pre-registered participants. 9. Youth Policy: On occasion, youth may be permitted to participate through a special approval process handled through Moose International. This process involves a notarized waiver and documentation of the youth s age and their relationship to an immediate family member that is an active Moose member in good standing. Youth ages must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times during the event, and the parent/guardian assumes all legal responsibility for the youth s actions. If the youth is 18 or older, he/she assumes full legal responsibility for their own actions by signing the waiver, and will not require full time supervision; but must still provide proof that an active Moose member is an immediate family member. Moose International will review each request on a case-by-case basis to ensure that all criteria are met. Please your request to Assist. The tournament is open to both men and women. There will be separate divisions for men and women. 2. Following Saturday s play all golfers will be Flighted within their Division s (Champion, Tournament, Seniors (60-69), Super Seniors (70+), Women. There must be more than 10 golfers in a Division to Flight. 3. This tournament is governed by the Rules of the USGA. 4. NO ENTRY FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS ALL INFORMATION IS ENTERED AND ENTRY FEES ARE PAID IN FULL, by the established registration deadline. Shifts will be released if payment and all information is not received by registration deadline date. 5. Golfers must be per-registered and must present credentials at least 30 minutes before tee time. Failure to present credentials or failure to appear as scheduled will result in forfeiture, unless arrangements for schedule changes have been made in advance with Moose International prior to weekend schedule. Tournament fees will not be refunded in cases of forfeiture. 6. This is a Flighted tournament within your Division. 7. Substitute Policy Scramble: All substitutes must present a valid photo I.D. and a valid Moose membership card. Moose International will not be involved in the exchange of any monies between the involved parties either relating to registration fees or prize money awarded. Moose International retains the right to authorize and/or decline, any substitute s participation. Substitutes will be authorized to participate without per-registration. 8. It shall be each golfer s responsibility to verify the accuracy of their score, whether originally submitted by the golfer, the team captain or others. 9. Moose International reserves the right to re-rate any entrant prior to Sunday golf. 10. Any team or individual in this tournament failing to appear at the course when scheduled to golf will be disqualified. 11. To assist in the pace of play, if a ball is hit out of bounds or lost, individual will drop ball in area where ball went out of bounds or was lost, but no closer to the hole. The player must take a one stroke penalty. 12. Maximum score per hole is double par. 13. Each twosome will keep the score for the other twosome in the group. 14.
