The first session will be held on the driving range going over the basics of ball striking, chipping and putting. How awesome will that be to hear this year? Our program will be similar to other sports where kids will be participating in a team format 100% of the time. The scramble format, similar to the Ryder Cup, allows two members to compete together while always taking the best shot between the two. There will be ten playing days on the course Thursdays at 5:30pm and six practice days Saturdays at 12pm. We will instill the idea play like a team, practice like a team. Our goal is to provide a learning atmosphere opening the door for golf to be very enjoyable while teaching sportsmanship and proper golf etiquette. This house league will play at Wilmette Golf Club with stand out students chosen to compete against other clubs. A minimum of 72 (max 120) paid players are required for a shotgun outings. After September 15 shotgun outings are available Monday-Friday with either a 12:30 p.m. or 1 p.m. start. Outings may be booked at the discretion of the General Manager outside the parameters of this policy, if they are felt to be in the best interest of The Wilmette Golf Club.
