This campaign seeks support for life-saving technology for Cancer Care, The NICU, Trauma and Critical Care, Surgery, and Imaging. Advanced medical devices and diagnostics allow people to live longer, healthier, and have more productive lives. Faster and better technology will help the care givers at Kaweah Delta diagnose and treat patients quickly and accurately. Trauma & Critical Care Acquire two Mobile Ultrasound Units (quick start): Increasingly used to guide and triage trauma and critical care patients Only option for evaluating patients too ill for transport to other modalities Imaging Acquire an 80-slice CT (Computed Tomography) scanner to enhance patient care by: Optimizing image detail (information gathered) Reducing IV contrast needs for patients Reducing times required to gain an image Replace older CT scanner on west campus Cancer Care Replace the Brachytherapy Unit: Help cancer patients overcome their illness while reducing overall radiation exposure Replace the MRI Invivo Breast Coil to: Assist radiologists in the diagnosis of hard to find tumors Improve patient outcomes Surgery Add three new Mobile OEC C-arms: Guide surgeons hands by providing crisp images of internal structures during surgery Improve patient outcomes while reducing operating times NICU Acquire 23 Giraffe Beds for the new NICU. These beds save lives by: Continuously monitoring the baby s heart beat and vitals from within the bed Operating as either an incubator or warmer as needed Finely regulating the baby s environment including temperature, humidity and sound Reducing negative environmental stimuli and thus improving neural development GOLF CLASSIC 2017
