The winter chill is finally over, and the grass is getting greener! Great to see so many of you at our last few events, including the Board of Governors meeting in February. We had a fantastic response to the newly created Pawleys Cup, boasting 64 players who duked it out over 36 Holes of Match Play golf. At the end of the day, the North Team prevailed 35-29, despite late pairing rallies from the South Team in singles matches. All had a great time and we are very excited to introduce a new tradition at Pawleys. The 32 players on the winning team will receive an automatic bid into next year s event, as well as 20 points toward the Race to the Finish. Next up is the Bunny Hop on Saturday, April 4th 9am Shotgun. Please sign up by contacting the Golf Shop at Make your own team or sign up as an individual. Chef Leon has prepared some fantastic menus for our dinner nights in April. We begin on Thursday, 4/2 with our Monthly Member Mixer. Attendance for these events has been strong all winter long and we appreciate your support. We are also gearing up for Easter Brunch on Sunday, 4/5. Chef s full menu is displayed on Page 4. We will also feature Prime Rib Night on Tuesday, 4/14 and Chef s Night (a la carte menu) on Thursday, 4/23. The new Palmetto Pub menu will be released soon and we can t wait to share some new and exciting creations with our Members! Spring! We've enjoyed seeing Members filling up Mel's group clinics recently. These are scheduled most Monday afternoons at 1:30pm and last 1 to 2 hours, depending on number of attendees. Cost is still $35. A Bargain! Are you in for Ireland? Mel and Rosemary are hosting another excursion to the Emerald Isle in August. The southwest courses like Old Head, Ballybunion and Lahinch are on the play list, plus visiting famous and quaint villages like Killarney. Cost is very reasonable due to the strong American dollar and favorable green fee and hotel rates in Ireland. Contact me asap as I'll close out the trip at 16 people max. Visit to see details.
