The Convention themes this year will be The Power of We-Action-Service The Future is Now. Enclosed you will find the material to order event tickets, arrange for hotel rooms, rent exhibit booths and pin trader tables, and register for the convention, golf tournament and miniature golf tournament. You can begin the convention playing in the golf tournament at the Bay Club (West) Golf Course on Monday, May 7, 2018 and end with the Victory Luncheon on Thursday, May 10, Please share this information with your club members and encourage them to attend as this is a convention for all Lions, Lioness, Leos and guests. Group 4002 To Book Online at the Princess Royale, Go to: Click on the Groups Button located 2 nd from the left near the top of the page. Enter the 4002 in the white box that says Group/Promo code and then click on Book Now. Click on Date located under the logo with the shell on it, and choose your arrival date and departure date. Next, click on the next section that reads, 1 Room, 2 Adults and indicate how many adults will be in your room. Next, click on Rate Option and make sure that 4002 appears in the white box under Promotional/Group Code. Click on the photo of the room style that you are interested in, and then click on Check Availability to see if that room style is available. Click on the Book It button, and go to the next page to fill out your personal information and book your room. When you book your room, you will be charged the first night s charges to confirm your reservation. If you have any questions or problems at all, or if you wish to book with us directly online, please call our Reservations Department at , and identify yourself with Group #4002 to make your reservation and receive the discounted rate for the Lions Club. 5 Pre- Convention Entertainment The Pre Convention Ice Cream Social will be on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 8:00 pm at the Princess Royale Hotel Atrium (pool area). What better time to wind down from your long drive or not so long drive, with friends you have not seen in a while, this year s entertainment will feature local comedian, Missy Grynkiewicz and her cast of fellow local comedians. Don t forget to bring your new members and your families. Cash Bar available. Seminars Seminars are educational and interesting. The information obtained at the seminars can provide personal growth and help to enhance the operation of our Lions organization. It a great place to bring your new members and officers to educate them on Lionism. The schedule for seminars have not been determined but the hours will be 1:30pm 4:30 pm on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 and 9:00 am 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 9, Plan to attend the seminars to help yourself, your club and Lionism. Meet with your International Guest Candidate Hospitality Night Candidate Hospitality Night will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018, from 6:30 to 11:00 pm. Candidates Hospitality rooms for District Governor and First and Second Vice District Governors will be setup in the Atrium of the Princess Royale. Come and visit with old friends and meet new friends. Instructions for Registering & Ordering Event Tickets Use the form on the reverse side to Register and/or Order Event Tickets. Even if you are not ordering tickets to any events you need to send it in to register for the Convention. This form may be reproduced as needed. The form may be used by an individual registrant or a couple purchasing tickets or registering together. Please do not use this form for more than two people. Forms with more than two names will be returned. Hospitality Book - Tickets included in the hospitality book are for the Multiple District Banquet, District Luncheons and the Victory Luncheon. Tail Twister Sticker - For $5 per registrant you can order a tail twister sticker to provide exemption from tail twister fines at each event. Check or Money Order only for the function tickets and tail twister stickers ordered. Orders without payment will be returned. Orders may be grouped and covered by one check (preferably a club check); however, each participant must have an individual registration form. The check should be made payable to MD 22 Convention Committee. Multiple District Banquet seating will be assigned in the order of receipt of your order. To ensure being seated together, please send all orders (with payment) in one envelope. Each table seats ten persons. Registration Packets - Hospitality books and tickets will not be mailed to the Lions or the clubs. An envelope for each individual or couple will be available for pickup at the District registration desks. This envelope will contain your name badge(s), hospitality book(s), tickets and tail twister stickers ordered. Golfer s Note: Your registration package will be at the golf course unless you specify that you want to pick it up at the Convention Center.
