2 About the Foundation The CF Foundation is the world s leader in the search for a cure for CF. The Foundation funds more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support. Adding Tomorrows Every Day When the Foundation was established in 1955, children with CF rarely lived long enough to attend elementary school. Due in large part to the Foundation's aggressive investments in innovative research and comprehensive care, many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond. CFF is proud of our achievements. But we still have much to do as we search for a cure. The funds raised through this golf outing help our mission: to cure CF, and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care. Events like this help to fund science. CFF is a nonprofit, donor-supported organization dedicated to attacking CF from every angle, with a focus to support the development of new drugs, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure. The Foundation funds and accredits a national care center network recognized by the National Institutes of Health as a model of care for a chronic disease. The CF Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind and is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance.

This competitive tournament challenges golfers of all levels. Participation includes everything - golf, riding cart, golfer gifts, breakfast, lunch, cocktails, evening reception featuring a delicious dinner, fantastic live and silent auctions and awards presentation! A Unique Tournament Each golf twosome will be flighted according to their combined handicap (four twosomes in each flight). Each golfer will play their OWN ball and each twosome will rotate playing the other twosomes in their flight for nine holes 27 holes total (divided into three ninehole matches). Each twosome receives points based on performance. The twosome with the most points within their flight at the end of 27 holes will be the flight winner. At the end of the three matches, flight winners will then compete in a shootout. Prizes will be awarded to flight winners. Trophies will be presented to the overall tournament winners.

Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation s attendance policy recommends inviting only one person with CF to attend the indoor portion of a Foundation-sponsored event at a specific time. For the outdoor portion, the Foundation recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times.
