1 BCC Summer Slam Saturday and Sunday, June 9 & 10, The Brockville Country Club is thrilled to announce the start of an exciting new celebration experience. Our Club membership and staff including golf, curling, and banquets have all joined together to organize two annual marquee events: The BCC Summer Slam & The BCC Winter Slam. The events will focus on providing participants the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy all that the BCC has to offer. It is an invitation to all our BCC supporters to come together twice a year to enjoy fun and good times! The 2-day Summer Slam event is packed with exceptional golf, fun contests, great food, terrific entertainment (featuring a unique outdoor rock concert) and spirited camaraderie throughout the weekend - all for an exceptional value. 2 Saturday June 9th Day 1: PROGRAM Golf Format: 18-hole Stroke play. Play the tees you re comfortable playing, as outlined below. Play your own game and do your own thing in the recreational division or sign up for one of the contests. We will honour the top gross and net champions in the divisions found below. Scoring based on Saturday results only using our Golf Genius software. Note: Official handicaps required to play in the divisions. Divisions based on handicap factors as of June 4th. 3 Starting Method: Double shot gun starts at 7:30am and 1pm. (Bookings based on first-come firstserved for selection preference.) Check-In: AM draw from 6:15am -7:15am; PM draw from 11:00am-12:45pm. Early registration available Friday June 8 th from 3-6pm in the Golf Lounge. Foursome Pairings: Participants make their own groups. Sign up and play with your own group of players representing various divisions (or if not four we will pair you up to make a foursome) Saturday Contests: Hole in One Contests: All four par 3 s feature Riverside Brockville sponsored prizes, including one GMC vehicle. We will use the same tees, designated for women & men, for all players who wish to try for the hole-in-one prizes. Putting Contest: Offered all day on the putting green, play as many times as you desire. 4-hole circuit: low stokes combined with a long putt closest to the button. Combine both games for a total score. Cost is $10 a try. Top 10 participants (low scores and ties) qualify for the Saturday Putting Shootout Elimination Contest held on the putting green starting at 8pm. Cash and gift certificate prizes for top 5 winners. Long Drive Contests: Men s hole #4, Senior Men # 18, Women s # 1, Senior Women s #10 Hole #9 Beattie Dodge Shootout: Players aim to stay in the painted circle on green. Players that hit the circle are entered into the draw for several prize giveaways. $10 entry fee. Net & Gross Skins Game: Optional. Men s Net & Gross or Women s Net & Gross. Cost per contest: net $5, gross $5. (Maximum Handicaps applied.) Lunch: Enjoy a selection of deli sandwiches, wraps and salads (buffet) included from 12noon-2pm. Seating available in the Lower Golf Lounge, outdoor patios and #10 outdoor seating area. Dinner: Enjoy a superb outdoor Southern BBQ featuring gourmet burgers, sausages and hotdogs with salad bar and dessert stations that will start serving at 5 PM. Seating available in 3-sections: Lower Golf Lounge, Upper and Lower Patios or outdoor lawn area, located next to #10 tee or foodto-go available. Beer and Wine Gardens: Featuring a collection of micro brewery sample stations and Molson outdoor bar station. Enjoy a refreshing garden of beverages located on the area next to #10 tee. Bar and seating open Saturday 11am to 10pm. Entertainment: Saturday Night features two local bands on our outdoor stage: Bourne to Rock plays from 5-6:30 pm with the headliners Healy & Orr (BCC golf member Doug Healy and partner Randy Orr) playing from 7 to 10 pm. 4 Sunday June 10th Day 2: Golf Format: 18-hole four-person team modified scramble with holes 1-6 Shamble; holes 7-12 Wolf; and holes Scramble. Players that hit the circle are entered into the draw for several prize giveaways. $10 entry fee. Hole #17 Beat the Junior. Cost $10/team. 5 Lunch: Enjoy a selection of deli sandwiches, wraps and salads (buffet) included from 12noon-2pm. Seating available in the Lower Golf Lounge, outdoor patios and #10 outdoor seating area. Dinner: Enjoy our appetizer station followed by a plated garden salad, carved Prime Rib Au Jus with garlic mashed potato, seasonal vegetables and dessert selections. Seating in the Granite Lounge. Enjoy wine on the tables provided by Peller Estates. Banquet: Enjoy Silent Auction display opportunity. Live Auction with Brockville s favorite auctioneer Kevin Beattie. Entertainment: Enjoy background music by The Music Guys from 6 to 8pm Everyone Welcome: The event is open for everyone to enjoy and participate in. This includes all our BCC members including our golf, curling and social. We invite our Flex Pass Holders and all area community public golfers to join us. The event is a great opportunity for our members to invite guests to play and enjoy the celebrations. The event will also promote and honour the aspect of a fun BCC Reunion as we encourage past members, staff and supporters to return home to participate in our BCC celebration! 6 2018 How to Register: All registrations are provided through the BCC online sales platform called EMS. To register go to the BCC website homepage, Click on the top main tab for Golf, then click Summer Slam and then register by clicking the link to the EMS page. This EMS page will allow you to quickly and securely register for the event. We encourage, if possible, one person to register and pay for the entire team of four players. However, we will accept individual, two or three-person registrations. We will do our best to combine your players to form a team of four. You will be instructed to register all your team player names and the contact info for your captain or person setting up the registration.
