1 CELEBRATING 23 YEARS OF SINGLES GOLF IN AMERICA Boston Chapter - American Singles Golf Association March 2015 Chapter News After our indoor golf event in January, my clubs made it out of the car, but not into the basement. Then the snow began. The storm that day left 24.6 inches on our landscape. And it s been snowing in Boston ever since! This picture seems to sum up our prospects for golf here any time soon. Despite the golf-unfriendly weather, our meet-up group has had a host of indoor activities to keep us busy. February focused on indoor lessons and indoor practice. We cheered our Pats onto victory at the beginning of the month. We joined other singles at First Friday at the Museum of Fine Arts was highly energetic and the after party at Brio was well attended and fun. Game night was guess what? - cancelled because of snow. The new date is Saturday, March 7 at 6:30pm. I want to take this opportunity to welcome all the new members who have signed up over the last few months. Please refer to the meet-up site for the details you need to join us in an event. A great way to get introduced to the group is through the season opening meeting. Register through the website. A Little Humor... Travel Plans for 2015 I have been in many places, but I've never been in Kahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Kahoots with someone. I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there. I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my children, friends, family and work. I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore. I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often. I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm. Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older. One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenaline flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get! I may have been in Continent, but I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing. They tell me it is very wet and damp there. But my really special place to be is in ASGA where I have my friends who accept me as the kind of golfer I am, which geographically, is all over the place! Feeling Left Out?
