The rmy began operating in Canada in More than 135 years later it still recognizes that poverty is a critical issue and that everyone has the right to basic necessities such as nutritious food, shelter, health care, education and economic opportunity. The Salvation rmy assists more than 1.9 million Canadians each year. The warm weather is here but we are already planning ahead for Christmas and our annual CTV Toy Mountain Campaign. CTV s Toy Mountain returns for its 23rd year and 2018 marks the first year our nnual Charity olf Classic will benefit the campaign directly. This year the proceeds raised will help The Salvation rmy fund the Toy Mountain Campaign. Every year, CTV and The Salvation rmy invite Toronto-area businesses, schools, organizations, community groups and CTV Toronto viewers to become partners to collect toys and make a financial donation to help build Toy Mountain. With help from the community, The Salvation rmy and CTV provide help and hope to families struggling to make ends meet in the reater Toronto rea. ast year over 30,000 families throughout the T were helped by The Salvation rmy and the CTV Toy Mountain Campaign and we want you to be a part of helping to put a smile on a child's face this Christmas. 1
