For over 7 decades, members have enjoyed the largest construction industry golf tournament in Southern California, and it just keeps getting better! With that, the AGC Scholarship & Education Program continues to grow and requires more and more funding. The proceeds from this golf tournament allow us to support/fund the following AGC Programs: Scholarships for students attending the J.R. Filanc Construction Engineering & Management Program at San Diego State University The AGC Foundation for Success Summer Jobs Program for students from Construction Tech Academy San Diego State University s Student Chapter and its efforts in AGC of America competitions Also, to add to the allure of the tournament, exhibitors will be participating in a Famous Musicians & Bands Theme this year! 2 74 TH ANNUAL AGC AFFILIATE DAY GOLF TOURNAMENT - FORMAT MONDAY - AUGUST 5, 2013 Since 1939, the AGC Affiliate Day Golf Tournament has been considered THE construction industry tournament in San Diego County. The format of this year s tournament will again have one shotgun start beginning at 11:30 at both of the Oak Glen and Willow Glen championship courses! Having only one shotgun start gives all players the opportunity to stay after the tournament and enjoy the barbeque banquet & awards dinner. LOCATION: Sycuan Resort, 3007 Dehesa Road, El Cajon, CA DATE: Monday, August 5, :00 AM Registration / Demo Day Begins. 11:30 AM Shotgun Start on two courses TITLE SPONSORS: Alliant Insurance Services and Moss Adams LLP are once again our Major Sponsors for this event. We ll also have $5,000 worth of golf accessories, dinners, gift certificates, and much more. The largest golf raffle in San Diego will be held after the banquet dinner. 3 FORMAT: The format this year will be a 4 PERSON SCRAMBLE, in which the entire foursome plays from the Best Shot. This will allow members to socialize and enjoy the day! We will have 2 divisions: Team Low Gross and Team Peoria Net. Each division will have 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd place winners. CONTESTS: Your employees and guests will also be able to win $$$$ and prizes worth over $2,000. Over 20 contests will be held including: Hole in One Longest Drive Closest to the Pin Straight Drive COURSE EXHIBITORS: Course exhibitors will be present on all of the two courses 36 holes. Some will be serving food and refreshments and also showing the latest in construction products, services and equipment...as well as presenting each player with a small gift. We also are looking forward to the creativeness of the exhibitors who will be participating in the theme of the event this year. Again we guarantee you, your employees, and guests will remember this unique tournament! Prior to the tournament, golfers will have an exclusive opportunity to demo golf clubs that will be provided by top golf club manufacturers. The driving range will be set up for golfers to try out new state-of-the-art products and obtain discounted prices on equipment. The drawing will take place at the dinner after the golf tournament, but winners do not need to be present to win.
