2 There s no place like HOME Essex County Country Club is without a doubt a unique and special experience in so many ways: great golf, great environment, great people. Good times abound for all of our members and guests and there simply is not a better place for kids to be home grown. Founded in 1887, ECCC is New Jersey s oldest country club. 3 The Essex County Country Club is one of the most boldly envisioned golf courses ever designed by Seth Raynor and his associate Charles Banks. Crafted on an excellent property with great topography, the scale and execution of the Raynor template holes is perfectly suited for the terrain at ECCC. Our restoration of the course, with our dear departed friend George Bahto, was a great lesson in how to bring back the variety and character that goes with each and every Raynor course. The course provides a great examination in skill and design but at its core it remains a fun and engaging classic golf course. At Essex County we have been honored to have a long standing relationship with the club, and their commitment to maintaining the vision that Raynor had for this sweeping property is great for the landscape of golf." 4 HOME Games Our golf course is certainly one of the finest in the state and many, including PGA professionals, consider it to be second to none. The layout is challenging yet fair to players of all levels, and never gets tired for those who play frequently. Course conditions are pristine with fast greens, wellgroomed fairways and roughs and a design that is both classic and scenic. Our respected professional staff offers programs for competitive and social players alike, not to mention that juniors and beginners can learn the game in preparation for a lifetime of enjoyment that is part and parcel of the golf experience.

5 Tennis at ECCC is a home run too. Whether you are a singles or doubles player, competitive or just looking to hit with friends, our tennis programs focus on technical, practical and physical aspects of the game always keeping the FUNdamentals in mind. Our junior players learn to be not just winners on the court, but champions in life.
