2 ACCOMMODATION As the Legend Golf & Safari Resort Rooms are built in the bush there are no fences or gardens within the resort grounds - just 220 wonderful rooms, built across the bush within the resort. The rooms, consisting of four or five individual bedrooms linked by walkways, offer accommodation of unmatched, timeless elegance dedicated to relaxation and reflecting the African wilderness. Signature Golf Course: (18 Hole) The Golf Course, designed as an 18-hole Championship golf course, is the longest golf course in South Africa, providing all golfers, irrespective of their handicap, the experience of a true African Challenge. The course plays at 6,534 meters for daily play but is capable of being extended to 7,748 meters for tournaments, making it one of the longest in the world. TRANSPORT Guests are requested to park their car at their rooms and make use of the shuttle service available on site. The shuttle service runs every 30 min and stops at the designated bus stops throughout the resort. 12 DIRECTIONS Road Directions to Legend Golf & Safari Resort from Pretoria: Take N1 North Highway from Pretoria to Polokwane (Pietersburg). Keep on the N1 through Carousel and Kranskop Tollgates. Travel a further 32km on the N1. Take the Mookgophong (Naboomspruit) R101A offramp/exit (Route 289). Drive 8km to Mookgophong (Naboomspruit). Drive straight through the town of Mookgophong (Naboomspruit) on the R101A (29km) till you reach the Sterkrivier (Doorndraai Dam) turnoff (Legend Golf & Safari Resort signboard). Turn left and continue for 22km till you reach the Haakdoring turnoff. Turn left and continue for a further 3km on gravel road until you reach the traffic circle and the Great Enclosure of the LGSR Entrance on your right-hand side. Enter through the security check-point and park at Reception. Road Directions to Legend Golf & Safari Resort from Polokwane: Travel through Mokopane (southerly direction) towards Mookgophong (Naboomspruit). Travel 17km till you reach the Sterkrivier (Doorndraai Dam) turnoff (Legend Golf & Safari Resort signboard). Turn right and continue for 22km till you reach the Haakdoring turnoff. Turn left and continue for a further 3km on gravel road until you reach the traffic circle and the Great Enclosure of the LGSR Entrance on your right-hand side. Enter through the security check-point and park at Reception. Important Notice: It is recommended that guests follow these directions instead of relying on a GPS as game fencing restricts access to certain roads in rural areas.
