2 PRIVATE COACHING Director of Golf Instruction, Mark Massengale The benefits of growing up in a household where golf was a part of daily life, have served Mark Massengale well. As the son of former PGA & Sr. PGA tour winner Don Massengale, Mark has paved his own path along the way to a successful golfing career. After playing in college at TCU and five years professionally Mark has found what he loves about golf, coaching golfers to reach their potential. As the Director of Golf Instruction for Bentwater, Mark has assumed the role as instructor for both men, women, and juniors at all levels of play. Mark s has over 20 years of experience teaching the beginning golfers to the highest level player. He has taught Texas State HS Champions to College All-American who made it to the LPGA, but he get just as much enjoyment seeing the beginner get the ball in the air for the first time. His experience teaching all skill levels has made him a prominent teacher in the area. Mark see s golf as a game, which means you are not only teaching golf technique, but how to play the game. With that said, his instruction is more like coaching, which is done at the practice facilities and the golf course. You find your strengths and make a game plan for the course to fit your strengths. He does thank its best that your strength is your short game. He is looking forward coaching you to reach your potential in this great game! 3 JUNIOR PERFORMANCE 2018 Spring Semester Spring Semester February, March, April, May Provides junior golfers with a step-by-step roadmap for development via age/ability appropriate curriculum. Juniors will learn core golf skills through an engaging, game based format and work towards specific requirements in order to advance through each level. Our goal is to create a high quality learning experience that builds competence, confidence, connection, and character. Each level is offered in 16-week semesters where juniors will meet for weekly skill development sessions and monthly skills tests. Wednesday s 4:30 5:30 PM Designed for all skill levels of junior golfers to learn basic forms and skills through a highly interactive game based learning format. Junior will participate in instruction and checkpoints in putting, around the green, scoring, full swing, and knowledge. Sibling discount available Last Saturday 3:00 4:30 PM Juniors will be able to take their games to the course! $150 per month

4 2018 SUMMER JR. GOLF CAMPS Mark Massengale will be the lead instructor for another wonderful summer of Jr. Golf Camps. These camps offer invaluable experiences for young golfers. Mark works with many of the top Jr. Golfers in the Houston area, including several members of the State Champion Montgomery High School golf teams. Mark and his team of instructors will teach junior golfers the fine fundamentals of the game, including the full swing, putting, chipping, and pitching. The camp also covers rules and etiquette. Most importantly, juniors will learn how to have fun playing this great game! The camps are open to all memberships, grandkids, and friends. To sign up call or Mark at or Hope you can join us! Tuesday - Friday, June 12 15, June 26 29, July 10 13, July Cost: $190 per session MINI JR SUMMER GOLF CAMP This Jr. Golf Camp will be from 9:00-11:00 each day. The camp will cover putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker. Instruction will be mixed will games teaching the kids the fundamentals and how to have a great time playing golf! Wednesday Friday, August 1 3 Time: 9:00 11:00 Cost: $120

5 MEN S CLINICS Short Game Clinics Friday s, January 12 & March 9 Time: 9:00 12:00 Cost: $150 Men, lower your scores fast! Nothing is worse than wasted shots around the green, so if you re short game is inflating your handicap, make plans to attend the Short Game School in July. The curriculum for the Short Game School will focus exclusively on the Scoring Shots-all played from 75 yards and in: Distance Wedges, Finesse wedges, Putting & Bunker Play. Mark Massengale will be the lead instructor. On average these shots represent 60-65% of the shots played in a round. But they are often the low hanging fruit on the path to lower scores. Players will make drastic scoring improvements in a short period of time through a better understanding of the Short Game fundamentals. Full Swing Clinics Friday s, January 26 & March 23 Time: 9:00 11:30 Cost: $150 Men, join us for this clinic on the full swing. You will learn how to hit better shots from your wedges up to the driver. This is a great way to improve your fundamentals and find easier ways to improve your ball striking. Mark Massengale will be the lead instructor.

6 LADIES BOOT CAMP Offered in the Spring Designed to help players grow their passion for the game while developing new skills and building confidence. Open to all skill levels, this 3-month coaching program is offered in the Spring Semester (February - April). Players attend the Beginner Session (9:00-10:00 Wednesday) or Advanced/Intermediate Session (10:00-11:00 Wednesday). Program Includes: 12 weekly sessions and designed to provide each student with a structured learning environment and ongoing feedback from their instructors. Once a month the Boot Camp will occur on the golf course where player and coaches will explore course management/processing skills and rules/etiquette guidelines. Hope you can make all the sessions, but if you can t, you can pay on the one s you attend. Mark Massengale will be the lead instructor. $200 per month Short Game School Saturday, June 30 Time: 8:30 11:30 Cost: $150 Lower your scores fast! 7 GRAND PINES INSTRUCTION EVENTS All of these events will be at Grand Pines and Mark Massengale will be your lead instructor. DAY WITH THE PROS Friday, April 13 Time: 9:00 4:00 Cost: $250 A Day With The PROS is a great way to improve your game and get a chance to play with one of the Academy s professionals. During this program you will receive personal instruction and great golf tips. The day includes 2 ½ hours of morning instruction, lunch, and a 9-hole playing lesson, with Mark Massengale as your lead instructor. The program can accommodate up to 8 students and includes a professional in each group. FULL GAME CLINIC Friday, May 11 Time 8:30 11:30 Cost: $150 This clinic is for men and woman. Join Mark Massengale, your lead instructor, this morning to improve all aspects of your golf game. Clinic topics will include putting, pitching, and the full swing. This is a great way to get tips on all areas of your game so that handicap can start dropping!
