Revised BEST BALL (2 Person or 4 Person Teams) Each player plays her own ball from tee to green. On each hole the best net score for the team is recorded. Lowest net team score wins. BIRD WATCHER S DELIGHT Count one point for net birdies, two points for net eagles, and three points for net double eagles. BLIND NINE Play 18 holes. Nine holes will be drawn at random; the remaining 9-hole score will count. Subtract 50% of handicap. BLIND PARTNERS Partners are drawn at the completion of play. Using full handicaps, net best ball on each hole is team score. Lowest team score wins. CAPTAIN S PICK A captain is determined on each hole (noted on the scorecard). All four players tee off and the captain picks her partner for that hole. Count two net balls -- the better net between the captain/partner and the better net from the other two players. CHA CHA CHA (ABCD - Net) Count one best net ball on the 1 st hole, two best net balls on 2 nd hole, three best net balls on 3 rd hole. Then repeat until all 18 holes are completed. Variations are one best net ball on par 5s, two best net balls on par 4s, three best balls on par 3s or one best net ball on holes 1-6, two best net balls on holes 7-12, three best net balls on holes CHAPMAN SCOTCH Both players tee off and then hit each other s tee shot for the second shot. Select the best ball after the second shot and alternate shots until the hole is complete. On par 3s, the team must choose after the tee shot, then play that ball out by alternating shots. Variation: have both players putt from each location once the ball is on the green. CHAPMAN SCRAMBLE Both players tee off and then hit each other s tee shot for the second shot. Select the better ball after the second shot and scramble to the green (i.e. both players hit the third shot and choose the better one, etc.). Once on the green, both players putt from the same location until the ball is holed. This format is also followed on Par 3s. Use 40% of handicaps.
Choose Ten (ABCD) Each player plays her own ball. Two best net scores are used on each hole. After play is completed, teams choose the best team score using one par 3, one par 5 and three par 4s from each nine. Team score will consist of those 10 holes Choose Your Nine (Individual) After play is completed, each player chooses her best net scores from two par 3s, two par 5s and 5 par 4s to form her best 9-hole total net score. CRISS CROSS Player can elect to take score from either the hole on the front nine or the corresponding hole on the back nine (i.e. 1 or 10, 2 or 11, 3 or 12, 4 or 13, 5 or 14, 6 or 15, 7 or 16, 8 or 17, 9 or 18. EASY HOLES This can be played as an individual or team game. Only the nine hardest handicap holes count for your score. For an individual game, use the net score from those nine holes. For a team game, use two best net balls for those holes. ECLECTIC Two round event. Players score as normal first day. On second day they can improve upon any hole. Their tournament score is the better score on each hole for the two days. FAIRWAY SPLIT (ABCD) After all four players hit their drive; the team identifies two balls landing farthest left and two balls landing farthest right. Team score on that hole is better net ball of two farthest left drives and better net ball of two farthest right drives. After drives on par 3s, team does the same by identifying two balls landing farthest left and right of the hole. Team with lowest total net score wins. FIELD SHOTS Only strokes between tee and green are counted for game, including penalty strokes. Do not count first drives or putts. FIVE OF CLUBS Play using five clubs (including the putter). No posting. GHOSTS, GOBLINS, SKELETONS, AND PUMPKINS (ABCD) Player s scores to be used will be designated at the next tee box. HOLIDAY CHEER Par 3s will be played as usual. The rest of the holes will be played from the 100 yard marker. There are closest to the flagstick winners on every hole. No handicaps used. No posting.
Horse Race (individual) There are three winners in each flight-low gross, low net and low putts. Win, Place and Show. LONE RANGER & THE THREE AMIGOS All players hit their drive. The team decides who the Lone Ranger is and her net score counts on that hole. After completion of the hole, count the Lone Ranger s net score and the best net score of the three remaining players (i.e. the three amigos.) LOW GROSS/LOW NET (INDIVIDUAL) Winners in each flight based on lowest gross score and lowest net score. LOW GROSS/LOW NET (TEAM ABCD) Four person teams that must count one gross score and one net score on each hole. The same person cannot provide the score for both gross and net. The lowest teams score for the18 holes wins. LOW PUTTS Only strokes taken with a putter on the putting surface are counted. No handicaps are used. The winner is the player with fewest putts. MATCH PLAY (individual or team / 2 ball or 4 ball) Each player or team plays against another player or team. Each hole is won, lost, or tied based on net score. (Points awarded are 1, ½, or 0 per hole.) Player or team with the most points wins the match. MODIFIED SCRAMBLE (4 person team) Players pick the best tee shot and that person doesn t hit the next shot. Three players hit the next shot; pick the best shot and the other three players hit from there. Continue through the green. All four players putt. You must use at least three drives per player. One score for the team. Use 20% of total handicaps. MOST NET PARS OR BETTER Count one point for each net par or better. Highest number of points wins. MYSTERY EVENT Game is a mystery. NASSAU Game is designated either gross or net play. Winners for best front 9 holes, best back 9 holes, and best 18-hole score.
ODD OR EVEN Players can elect at end of round to count odd or even holes. There are winners for both Odd and Even. Players must indicate on score card odd or even before submitting scorecard. O.N.E.S. Count only the net scores for the holes that start with O, N, E, or S (1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 16, 17, 18) count toward your score. Oreo Cookie (Individual or Team) Only count holes 1-6 and for your game score. As a team count two net scores for team score. PASS THE TURKEY (ABCD) Before teeing off on each hole, the players decide who is going to be the turkey on each hole. Her net score counts on that hole, plus one person s net score. Each player must be the turkey at least three times. Team score equals two net balls per hole. PICK YOUR PARTNER (BEST NET BALL) Flights are based on team handicap. PICK YOUR PARTNER (SCRAMBLE) Teams are flighted. Six drives minimum from each partner. PICK NINE Before starting play, player selects nine holes to use for her score. You must pick two par 5s, two par 3s, and four par 4s. These holes must be circled on the scorecard before play begins. Tournament score is 9 holes minus ½ of handicap. PLAY FOR POINTS Individual or Team) All players play their own ball. Each person earns one point for: a drive in the fairway or on the green on par 3 holes (F); one putt or fewer (P); or has a net par or better (S). a Maximum of 3 points per person per hole. POINT (OR QUOTA) TOURNAMENT Minus 1 point for net bogey or worse, 0 points for net par, plus 1 point for net birdies and plus 3 points for net eagle or better. Highest point count wins. PRO S PICK Pro picks hole(s) on each nine to be thrown out from tournament score.
QUOTA GAME (ABCD or individual game) Each player s course handicap is subtracted from 36. The remainder is the quota that the player attempts to achieve in points. Points are earned based on gross scores: Bogey = 1 point; Par = 2 points; Birdie = 3 points; Eagle = 4 points. Player or team that earns the most points over quota wins. RACE TRACK Pay 3 places per flight. WIN -- Low Gross; PLACE -- Low Net, SHOW -- Low Putts. RED, WHITE AND BLUE (ABCD) The scoring is two net balls of the foursome. On each hole, one red, white or blue score must be used, plus any other best net ball. SCRAMBLE Each player tees off on each hole. Team selects the best positioned ball. Ball position is marked and all team balls are played within one foot of this mark. Each subsequent shot is made in the same manner. On the green, all putts must be made from the same spot of the ball selected. SIX-HOLE HANDICAP Two net balls are used on the 6 hardest holes (by handicap), three net balls are used on the middle six holes, and one net ball is used on the six easiest holes. SKINS Each golfer competes with the players in her foursome or in her flight. A skin is won by a player when she achieves the lowest net score on a hole. If two or more players tie on a hole, no skin is awarded. There are no carry-overs. Money is paid for each skin. ST. PATRICK S DAY (ABCD) Count the numbers of shamrocks on the ball found in each hole and enter that number of best net balls for your team score. No more than 3 net balls are used. STABLEFORD Count one point for net bogey, 2 points for net par, 3 points for net birdie, 4 points for net eagle, and 5 points for net double-eagle. Use 90% of handicaps for team events and 100% handicap for individual events.
SUCKER IN THE BUCKET At the end of the first hole, the team decides which player s net score counts on that hole. At the end of the second hole, the net score from one of the three remaining players is used. At the end of the third hole, the net score from the remaining two players is used and on the fourth hole, the remaining player is the sucker in the bucket and her net score is used. Repeat this throughout. One score is used per hole. Variation On the third hole, the remaining two players are the suckers and start over with all four players on the fourth hole. Repeat this process throughout. SURPRISE PARTNERS (2 Person team) All players play 18 holes. Then choose 9 holes from each player -- any nine as long as all 18 holes are used for total team score. T s and F s Count only the net scores for the holes that start with T or F (2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15) to make up the game score. THE ODD COUPLE (A/B and C/D) Count one best net ball on odd holes and two best net balls on even holes. THREE BLIND MICE Three holes are chosen to be thrown out. Players do not know which three holes until play is completed. Full handicap is used. TRIFECTA (AB and CD 2 person teams) Holes 1-6 scramble, holes 7-12 best net ball, and holes alternate shot. UNCLE SAM S REVENGE (ABCD) This game is normally played around July 4th. A ball is left in each cup before play begins indicating which of the player s balls will count for the team. First person to hole out removes the ball without letting others know what is written on the ball until everyone holes out. Ball is replaced before leaving green. Variation -- the ball in the cup indicates how many net balls will count on each hole (maximum of three net balls per hole). WHINER S Participant can throw out worst 3 holes. Variation is to only allow the 3 holes to count as par. Variation is to throw out one par 5 hole, one par 4 and one par 3. Use full handicap.
