White, Jr. Memrial Glf Turnament, the American Cancer Sciety Windy City Glf Open will celebrate its 37th anniversary in 2018 at Cnway Farms Glf Club in Lake Frest, IL. Glfers can play their n ball n Cnway Farms Champinship Curse, hst f the 2017 BMW Champinship and rated #10 in Illinis by Glf Digest. Glf includes caddies, access t driving range and putting green, lunch, ccktail receptin with heavy hrs d euvres, player gift and the pprtunity t bid n ur silent auctin and participate in ur raffle. Spnsrs and individual glfers will have the pprtunity t play in the 7:45am Mrning Shtgun r the 12:30pm Afternn Shtgun. T maximize the traditins f Cnway Farms Glf Club, the American Cancer Sciety Windy City Glf Open is a walking event. Carts are available fr thse wh have a handicap r medical cnditin by request. White, Jr. initiated a cmmunity glf turnament t bring friends tgether t raise funds t supprt the American Cancer Sciety. The turnament was named in his memry after he lst his battle with leukemia in 1993 and remained s named thrugh After hnring lngtime American Cancer Sciety vlunteer Kathy Mignin in 2017, Bill and Susan White and the executive cmmittee agreed t change the name f the event ging frward t the Windy City Glf Open t hnr all f thse currently fighting cancer and memrialize thse we have lst t the disease. Since the event s inceptin, participants and spnsrs have raised mre than $2 millin t fund research and patient supprt services.
