Top point winner in each Division will receive a Trophy. PLAY TO WIN A SCHOLARSHIP IN THE 2018 PEPSI LITTLE PEOPLE S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS The Tri-State Junior Golf Tour is offering its players the opportunity to win a scholarship to participate in the Pepsi Little People s Golf Championships -- an entry-free chance to compete against golfers from all over the World on your home courses. Any player who posts a score in each of the six tournaments on the 2017 TSJGT Schedule will have their name placed into a drawing for a free entry in the 2018 Pepsi Little People s Golf Championships. A name will be drawn from each Division. 3 Tri-State Junior Golf Tour Code of Conduct Policies Waiver Participants of the TSJGT will NOT: Use abusive language Throw clubs for any reason (subject to 1 stroke penalty) Abuse or damage the host golf course Participate in dishonest play or scoring of any kind Use cell phones at any time during tournament play Spectators and Parents of TSJGT participants will: Stay on cart paths, rough, or 30 yards away from participants. Not walk in the fairways Try to stay a shot ahead of the group you are following Not give advice or rulings to any participants May help spot and search for balls off the fairway May approach the greens (10 yards away) to watch players putt Turn cell phones to vibrate, sounds off, or the off position Violation of any of these policies could result in penalty/disqualification. The undersigned Applicant, for his or her heirs, and legal representatives, releases, discharges and holds harmless The TSJGT, their directors, officers, members, employees, staff, volunteers, agents and representatives from any and all liability for any events or consequences whatsoever and in any manner arising out of or related to Applicant s entry and/or participation in this tournament, including but not limited to personal injuries sustained by Applicant.In the event of a medical emergency occurring during the tournament, the undersigned hereby authorizes all necessary measures in the medical treatment of Applicant. Make sure this section is signed by both the applicant and parent or legal guardian.) The signatures below verify that both applicant and parent or guardian have read and agree to abide by all the TSJGT policies and guidelines. The player and parent both need to sign and date this form for tour acceptance. The TSJGT reserves the right to refuse or suspend playing privileges to any applicant when deemed in the best interest of the TSJGT by the directors. I further consent and give permission to Tri-State Junior Golf Tour to print, copy, display or otherwise use or make public my child s name and/or picture, photo, or video tape of him/her, whether it be for news reporting or promotional purposes, and I release the ASSOCIATION from any and all liability or claim for such use. 4 Tri-State Junior Golf Tour Code of Conduct The TSJGT code of conduct has been instituted to ensure an enjoyable event for each and every person attending the tournament. All Tour competitors are expected to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the TSJGT. Golf Attire - All Tour participants are required to wear proper golf attire at the host facility. Blue jeans, cut offs, and t-shirts will not be permitted. If you show up to an event without proper attire, you will be asked to change clothing. If you wear a hat, it must be worn in a proper manner at all times. All golf shirts are required to have a collar or mock turtle neck (host facility permitting). Behavior - TSJGT will not tolerate poor behavior at the host facility. All participants are expected to carry themselves as ladies and gentlemen at all times. Swearing, club throwing, yelling, and cheating will not be tolerated. Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco - TSJGT does not allow the use of these products. These products will not be allowed on the golf course or any facility affiliated with the event. The use of these products will result in disqualification and possible suspension from future events. Code of Conduct Violation Penalties - TSJGT Tournament Committee, based on severity and frequency of the violation(s), may in accordance with USGA Rule 33-7: Warn the player Add a 1 stroke penalty, especially for throwing a club Disqualify the player from the tournament. A player s disregard of others is not limited to the current round but may include repeated offenses from tournament to tournament. Spikeless Non-Metal Shoe Policy - Only spikeless-nonmetal shoes will be allowed at Tour events. Players found in violation of this policy are subject to disqualification. Proof of Birth Date - TSJGT reserves the right to request documentation of a players birth date. The Tour is committed to providing a fair and equal competition for everyone. Policies Rules The USGA rules will govern all play. If, between the group, a ruling cannot be established and there is no rules official in the vicinity, we ask you play two balls and a ruling will be administered in the scoring area. Please do not sign scorecards until a ruling has been made official. Tie Breakers Tie breakers for first place only will be decided by a sudden death 1 hole playoff. The sudden death playoff will continue until we have a champion. Ties for second or third will be given the appropriate award. Distance Measuring Devices Measuring devices that measure distance only are allowed. Devices that measure wind and/or slope are not allowed. Caddies and Pull Carts The TSJGT allows the use of caddies for 8 & Under and 9-11 age groups. The TSJGT will allow the use of pull carts at all events. Players are not allowed the use of motorized carts.

5 Cell Phones Player s cell phones shall remain off and in the player s golf bag until tournament is completed. Apps that serve as a measuring device on your phone will not be permitted. Ear Phones The use of ear phones and/or devices that play music are prohibited during the stipulated round. Spectator Policy and Guidelines In golf, customs of etiquette and decorum are just as important as the rules that govern play. It is appropriate for parents and spectators to applaud successful strokes, but in order to secure the spirit of the game, we ask parents, coaches and ALL spectators to please adhere to the following guidelines: Please note that if any of the following guidelines are perceived as broken by a TSJGT official, the player may be subject to penalty. Please remember that spectating is a PRIVILEGE not a RIGHT. Advice (Rule 8) is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of a club or the method of making a stroke. In addition, any conversation between player/spectator may be construed as advice. This includes any conversation between player/spectator in their native language. In either instance, penalty for breach of this rule is two strokes. Players are responsible for the actions of their relatives and spectators in regards to this rule. In addition to the USGA definition of Advice, for which a player may be penalized, the TSJGT has a set of activities that spectators may not participate in. Breach of the following by a spectator may result in the spectator being immediately removed from the event, and prohibited from spectating in the future: TSJGT SPECTATORS MAY NOT: * Give/Offer advice during round * Make rulings * Stand on tee box behind players while they are teeing off * Call penalties on players * Violate host golf course policies/rules * Use profane/abusive language toward players or staff With the above statement in mind, keep your conversation with the player to words of encouragement as long as advice is not given. Be supportive of all players in the group/event. Also, please note- Spectators attend TSJGT events at their own risk. Spectators should stay on cart paths. In the absence of cart paths, we ask that spectators stay in the rough. Spectators are not allowed in the fairways. Spectators should stay one shot ahead of the group they are following. This allows spectators to follow errant shots and help identify where the ball comes to rest. Spectators are allowed to assist in the search for lost golf balls. Spectators may not give rulings. If a rules official is not nearby and a player/group is in doubt to a rules situation or has doubt as to procedure, the player should play a second ball under USGA Rule 3-3. Spectators are allowed to carry medicine, drinks, food, umbrellas, etc.
