REGISTRATION All Competitors must register in person with The R&A in the clubhouse no later than 14:00hrs on the day prior to commencement of the Championship (Monday 17 September 2018). Please note that telephone registration will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances and with prior authorisation. YOU MUST PRODUCE A CURRENT CONGU HANDICAP CERTIFICATE OR OVERSEAS EQUIVALENT AND BRING A COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORM WITH YOU WHEN YOU REGISTER. Registration Opening Hours. ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL Local accommodation options are listed within the following websites: The nearest airport to Crail is Edinburgh Airport (approximately 51miles & 1 hour 20 minutes drive time) 4. PRACTICE OFFICIAL PRACTICE DAYS Sunday 16 September Monday 17 September 12:00-17:00hrs 08: hrs All official practice times must be booked by contacting Crail Golfing Society on +44 (0) or by ing: info@crailgolfingsociety.co.uk from Monday 27 August 2018 onwards. No bookings will be accepted prior to this date. Official practice days are for competitors only. Competitors wishing to play a practice round out with the above official times may do so at the discretion of the host club and times will be subject to a green fee. PRACTICE GROUND Titleist will provide practice balls. The practice ground will be open and serviced during the following times: Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday 10:00-17:00hrs 07:00 16:00hrs 07: hrs 07: hrs 06:30 11:30hrs 5. DRAW FOR THE QUALIFYING ROUNDS The first round draw will be made on Monday 17 September. This draw will be posted at 16:00hrs on the official notice board. The draw will also be available on The R&A website at approximately 17.00hrs. The groups and starting times for the second round shall be determined by the scores on the first day, players with the lowest scores starting last. Please note that it is the responsibility of the competitor to ascertain their tee time. 6. SCORING Your scorecard will be distributed by the Starter and you should arrive on the 1 st tee approximately ten minutes before your starting time. The card must be returned to The R&A Recording Office immediately after the completion of your round. A volunteer on-course scorer will your scores every 3 holes and your co-operation will be appreciated. 7. FINAL ROUND CUT The 40 lowest scores and any tying for 40 th place, over the first 36 holes, shall qualify for the final 18 holes on the third day. 2

3 8. PACE OF PLAY CONDITION Each player is responsible for playing without undue delay. Each hole has been given a maximum completion time based upon the length and difficulty of the hole. The maximum time allotted for the completion of 18 holes will be available prior to play. You will be issued with the Pace of Play Condition when registering for the Championship. Please pay particular attention to this document as pace of play will be closely monitored. Players in breach of this condition will be warned and, if necessary, subsequently penalised. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask a member of The R&A Committee for assistance. 9. DRIVING CLUB CONDITION Players are asked to note that the specimen condition in the Rules of Golf regarding Driving Clubs is in effect. An updated List of Conforming Driver Heads is available on The R&A s website This list can also be viewed on request in The R&A Championship Office. 10. GROOVES & PUNCH MARKS The specimen condition in Decision 4-1/1 of Decisions on the Rules of Golf is in effect for Grooves and Punch Marks. 12. DISTANCE-MEASURING DEVICES Please refer to the Additional Local Rules issued at the venue. A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. 13. CADDIES / TROLLEYS/ YARDAGE BOOKS Complimentary pull trolleys will be available for competitors. There is a limited number of electric trolleys available at a cost to the competitor on a first come-first serve basis and these should be booked in advance on +44 (0) Caddies are available and should be requested in advance by contacting the club on +44 (0) Caddie fees will apply. Each competitor will be provided with a complimentary yardage book when registering for the Championship. 14. LOCKER ROOMS / BAG STORAGE A locker room will be available for competitors use during the Championship. Competitors are advised that any items are left at their own risk. 15. CLUBHOUSE / CATERING Catering will be available in the clubhouse from 07:00hrs on a cash basis. Evening meals will be available until 20:00hrs. The club has credit card facilities. 16. LIVE SCORING Online scoring services will be available throughout the Championship at 3

4 17. DRESS Competitors are reminded that a good standard of dress should be worn at all times. Headgear must not be worn in the clubhouse. 18. MOBILE PHONES Mobile phones are prohibited on the course (this includes texting). The use of mobile phones to make voice calls in the public areas of the clubhouse is prohibited. 19. CAR PARKING There is ample car parking available at the golf club. 20. DRINKS RECEPTION The R&A will host a drinks reception in the clubhouse for competitors and their guest on Monday 17 September from 18:30 19:30hrs. 21. PLAYERS' DINNER A Players' Dinner will be held on Tuesday 18 September at 19:30hrs in the clubhouse. Tickets priced 18 will be available on a first come first served basis from The R&A Championship Office during registration. 22. PRESENTATION The prize presentation will take place immediately after play (approximately 16:00hrs) on Thursday 20 September The following prizes will be presented: Champion Clarke Trophy, Voucher & Medal Runner up Voucher 3 rd place Voucher 4 th place Voucher Age Group Voucher Age Group Voucher Age Group Voucher Age Group 65 & over Voucher Best 18 Holes Voucher Note: All competitors in receipt of a prize should attend and a list of prize winners will be posted in advance at The R&A Championship Office. Any prize winner who fails to attend the prize presentation and has not recorded her apologies in the Championship Office, will not receive the voucher. The voucher value will be donated to charity. 23.
