EXPERTISE: CREW members have an average of 17 years experience in the commercial real estate industry and over 90% of the members hold college or graduate degrees. More than 60% of CREW Members are Presidents, Owners, CEO s, Partners or Senior Managers of their firms. WORTHWHILE: CREW promotes referrals and transactions amongst our members. Over 30% of our members report receiving and/or giving referrals to other members. 7 UCREW OVERVIEW The UCREW program benefits undergraduate women attending local Colleges & Universities, who are seeking information about and connections for careers in commercial real estate. The first Austin UCREW program was hosted at the University of Texas in Since that time, the program has been expanded and now includes students from Texas State, St. Edwards and Huston Tillotson Universities. UCREW participants must apply for and be accepted to the program. The program spans three evenings and gives the participants the opportunity to connect with CREW members representing commercial real estate professions, to participate in case studies designed to learn more about the industry, and to practice skills that real estate professionals use daily. The final session culminates in a presentation from each student that is judged by an elite panel drawn from Partners & organization members, followed by a networking reception and scholarship awards. CREW Austin has awarded more than $36,750 in scholarships since 2010 thanks to our Partners! 7

9 CREW CAREERS OVERVIEW CREW Careers is a one day interactive program introducing young women to the many careers in commercial real estate. Each year we choose a different project to highlight. The first CREW Careers program was hosted for a Girl Scouts troop in 2007 at Frost Tower & Mueller Airport Development, and the following year we featured the Seaholm Power Plant. Starting in 2009 CREW Austin & Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders partnered to provide the CREW Careers program to the 9 th grade class. Our partnership continues today. The program provides an opportunity for the 9 th grade class to explore many careers in commercial real estate by role playing the development of a property in the Austin area. Towards the end of the day each project team presents their project to a panel of judges. There is one winning team, and all the young women leave with valuable knowledge about the commercial real estate world. We rely on our members to serve as volunteers for coordination, administration and judging of the program. 9

11 GOLF ADVENTURE OVERVIEW The golf adventure is one of CREW AUSTIN s signature events, typically held in the fall with approximately 140 players. This event is not to be confused with a typical golf tournament it truly is an adventure with the emphasis on FUN and the opportunity to win prizes and bring home awesome auction items! This daylong event includes an option to participate in an 18 hole scramble golf tournament or an opportunity to participate in an instructional clinic with practice holes. Boxed lunch will be served prior to play The 19 th Hole Social & Banquet starts around 5:30, and includes prizes, a silent auction & raffle items. It is truly an opportunity to get out on the course for a networking and fun filled day, no matter your level of prior golf experience. 11
