The stunning layout has been designed by Arnold Palmer and the design team at Arnold Palmer Design Company (including Erik Larsen and Brandon Johnson, both NC State graduates). With breathtaking views of the Raleigh skyline and the award winning Centennial Campus, the golf course has become a favorite in the golf community. The purpose of the facility is to provide a public golf course on the Centennial Campus of NC State University that serves as a venue for the men s and women s varsity golf teams. It also facilitates turfgrass and storm water research associated with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). Likewise, the golf course serves as a teaching and training facility for the Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program in the College of Natural Resources. The course is very playable for all skill levels and a large challenge to low handicap players. We feel that you will find this course as one of the finest in the area, one of the best university facilities, and worthy of one of the premier universities in the nation. 3 GOLF EVENT RATES MONDAY OR WEDNESDAY $5,000 Includes 80 players (event minimum) $50 each additional player FRIDAY $6,700 Includes 80 players (event minimum) $75 each additional player RECOMMENDED TOURNAMENT OPERATING SCHEDULE 8:30 a.m. Registration 9:45 a.m. Opening Announcements 10:00 a.m. Shotgun Start 3:00 p.m. Scoring, Awards and Reception Tournaments may begin as early as three hours after sunrise. In order for Lonnie Poole Golf Course to close the golf course for both the morning and afternoon to accommodate an afternoon event, golf events with start times beginning after 11:00 a.m., Saturday events, or Sunday events will be subject to an additional $1,500 course access fee. 7 CATERING All food and beverage must be purchased through Rave! Event Services. No third-party caterers, meals or beverages (other than donated beverages) are permitted at the facility. Terrace Dining Room is not included in tournament package pricing, however, space may be rented after 4:00 p.m. upon availability and request. Contact Rave! Events at to inquire about rentals. TOURNAMENT CATERING PACKAGES All packages will be set up up under golf shop patio tent. Please designate a time for each option. MINI BREAKFAST $10/PLAYER Start your day on the course with this breakfast option, ideal for early tee times. Enjoy freshly brewed Port City Java coffee, hot water with assorted tea bags, assorted fruit juices, an assortment of freshly baked Yates Mill Bakery pastries, seasonal fresh fruit tray, and your choice of either assorted breakfast biscuits (ham, sausage and chicken) or breakfast burritos (sausage and southwest). Time: HOT-OFF-THE GRILL $10/PLAYER Your golfers will enjoy this cookout-style option, prepared fresh on location! This option includes grilled burgers and hot dogs with toppings and condiment options (lettuce, tomato, onions, and cheese assortment), sides of baked beans with molasses, hot dog chili, potato chips, and assorted large cookies for dessert. Veggie burger patties are also available. Time: BOX LUNCH $10/PLAYER Our box lunches are perfect for your next golf event. This option includes the golfers choice of turkey, roast beef or ham sandwich, potato chips, and a large, freshly baked cookie for dessert. 8 CATERING DONATED BEVERAGES Clients may provide up to four(4) beverages per person with a fee of $3.00 per guest. Donated beverages may include Coke products (soda, Dasani Water, and Powerade) and beer. Donated beer is not required to be provided by a distributor. No liquor or wine will be permitted. Product must be donated to Lonnie Poole Golf Course and should be delivered by 4:00 p.m. the day before the tournament. Please contact the golf shop upon arrival for assistance unloading. Unused product will remain the property of NC State Dining and will not be returned to the client. Donated product fee includes one distribution source of either a beverage cart or single station. Additional distribution options are available for $50 per addition (ex: second beverage cart or single station). All distribution sources will be staffed with an attendant when alcohol is involved. Additional non-staffed stations may be provided at no cost if alcohol is not being served. Clients have the option to run a tab for their guests on the day of the event. Tabs will be paid at the Terrace bar before departing. Vendor placement will be designated by Lonnie Poole Staff. Vendor will not be allowed to distribute samples in or around the Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse, under golf shop patio tent or at registration area. Fee includes use of one six foot table if needed.
