1 NRA REGISTERED 2700 OUTDOOR CONVENTIONAL PISTOL MATCHES sponsored by Fairfax Rod and Gun Club, Inc Signal Hill Road Manassas, Virginia Dates: April 27, May 25, and August 24, 2014; provided that a second relay may be added on the Saturday preceding these dates if the number of preregistrations warrants. Eligibility: These matches are open to all competitors. Membership in the NRA or FRGC is not required. Entries: Competitors may preregister by using either the attached Match Entry Form or a standard NRA SR 1 form, accompanied by payment of the entry fee. Entry fees may be paid using NRA award points or a check or money order made payable to Fairfax Rod & Gun Club (match fees for each match must be paid by a separate check). Preregistration forms and entry fees must be received not later than the Wednesday preceding the match. Post entries will be accepted at the range until 30 minutes prior to the match start time, to the extent that firing positions remain available. These matches are limited to 25 competitors each, and will each be conducted in a single relay. Preregistration forms and entry fees should be mailed to John Hollingshead at P.O. 2 Rules: Current NRA Pistol Rules for conventional pistol competitions will govern these matches. Classification: The NRA classification system for conventional pistol competitions will be used, including Rule 19.6 (assigned classifications for shooters with classifications in related NRA pistol events). Individuals who have not been classified will fire in the Master Class. Competitors must provide proof of classification upon request. Firing Position Assignments: At the discretion of the Match Director, firing positions may be assigned, and competitors will be notified of their firing positions when they sign in at the range on the day of the match. Awards: Awards will be given to the open winners in each of the 16 matches. A first place award will be given in each class and category for each match provided that there are at least 5 competitors in the class and category. A second place award will be given if there are at least 10 competitors in the class and category, and a third place award will be given if there are at least 15 competitors in the class and category. Awards will be forwarded to winners by check, cash, or NRA award points. Time of first match: Firing will commence promptly at 9:00 A.M. 3 protection. Competitors must also provide their own staplers, staples, and pasties or tape. Violations of NRA or club rules, or good safety practices, will result in the competitor s removal from the range and forfeiture of fees. Range Facilities: Lunch is available for an additional charge at the clubhouse near the entrance gate. Sanitary facilities are available at the range and at the clubhouse. Directions to the Range: The Club is located at 7039 Signal Hill Road in Manassas, Virginia. From I 66, take Rt. 28 south to Liberia Avenue; turn left onto Liberia Avenue and proceed about 1.5 miles east to Signal Hill Road; turn left on Signal Hill Road and proceed approximately 3 miles to the Club. From I 95, take exit 158B (Prince William County Parkway) and proceed west approximately 12 miles to Ellis Road; turn right on Ellis Road (becomes Signal Hill Road) and proceed approximately 1 mile to the Club. Match Conditions: Scoring will be done down range. Competitors will pass scorecards to the right and score the target to their left, except that a range officer will score the last target on the high end of the range. Competitors will be responsible for repairing their own targets. A challenge fee of $1.00 will be charged for each challenge as to the score of a target. A 3 person jury designated by the Chief Range Officer will render final decisions on any challenge. Competitors must provide and wear eye and ear protection. Competitors must also provide their own staplers, staples, and pasties or tape.
