This means children are going back to school soon; however, summer is still not over! The Pool is still open, and with so many exciting things happening at the club, there is no better time than now to enjoy the many benefits your membership offers. This has been a great year so far, with active participation in all areas. As everyone is aware, we have completed the renovations to our dining room, veranda, and the new fitness facility. We continue to see improved participation in those areas and are excited about continuing to improve other areas as well. Starting in September, we have scheduled the Tennis hard court resurfacing. Also, we will be adding the new awning to the Tennis Complex. Ryan has purchased TrackMan, and our golf team is ready to unleash your potential with the latest technology in swing and ball flight measurements. As Fitness continues to become a significant part of our programming, we continue to look for opportunities to take our programming to the next level. Our instructor-led classes continue to be a success. Don t forget; we now sell Lululemon Fitness Apparel for men and women exclusively in Columbus. Stop by the Tennis Shop to see what s new. It is our priority to continue to deliver relevant programming and to improve the facilities for our members ensuring a first in class experience for you and your guests. Due to the generosity of the membership and support of the Golf Committee and Board of Directors, we re now the proud owners of a Trackman Launch Monitor! I encourage anyone whose game is in need of a tune-up or needs updated equipment to book a lesson or fitting with either Nikki or myself to utilize this new technology. Speaking of exciting times, how will you know about all the fun activities on the course if you aren t receiving the weekly golf s? 5 Tennis News August has a lot happening; Margarita Open, school starts back, Evert Cup, and we head towards a new league season. July was hot, but CCC had a reasonably busy month with Academy and adult play. We started Cardio Tennis and a Beginner Ladies Group which have been successful. Both of these groups will continue through August. Junior Team Tennis teams went to State Championships in Alabama bringing home trophies in three divisions. Coach Mike was with them for two days helping them pull through. These teams also went to Georgia State Championship but no results yet. Starts August 13 4:30-6:00 PM Orange Ball Starts August 14 3:30-4:30 PM The Fall Academy schedule is out, and we start back on August 13 with the Yellow Ball session. Orange Ball and Green Dot sessions will start August 14. Yellow Ball Green Dot Starts August 14 Please don t assume we know you are coming; call the shop or stop by and get signed up. 4:30-6:00 PM RSVPs help us better prepare for your juniors. Don t forget about Lululemon in the Tennis Shop. We are the only place in Columbus where you can buy these items. New shipments come in weekly so check in often to see what is new.
