1 The Calusa GCSA chapter is pleased to bring you our 4th Annual Christmas Golf Charity Event benefitting The Children s Network of SW Fl on December 15th,2017. Children Network of SW FL works with our community to protect children and preserve families. Children s Network is responsible for over 2,300 abused and neglected children, and delivers a comprehensive local system of care through subcontracts with more than 50 social service agencies. The agency also serves approximately 125 at-risk community children each month with their Diversion Program. Since the agency s founding in 2003, Children s Network of SWFL has worked so that our communities children are safer, have better access to local resources, and are able to partake in a stable, loving, and secure home environment. We all know how special Christmas is for the kids and what joy it brings them when they feel loved and appreciated. We need your help this year to provide gifts and essentials for 60 kids living in group homes. This number is over double what it was last year so your help is desperately needed. Our event will be held at The Verandah Golf and Country Club so please join us for a fun day of golf and lunch while helping this great cause. We are so pleased and thankful that Verandah has allowed us to use their beautiful private facility and, of course, traditional golf course etiquette and attire is required. Attached please find more details and the registration form. Sign up soon as spaces will be limited; please note that no spaces will be guaranteed until payment is received. Help us by paying before December 1st so that the event check-in process can be quicker and smoother while securing your discounted rate. Entries paid for after December 1st will be assessed an additional $50 charge. Raffle prizes include gift cards, Rounds of Golf, Hotels nights, and much more. All prizes are encouraged, and appreciated so we urge you to donate or collect on our behalf. A separate flyer is attached to help pass out to local business should they need more information about the fundraiser. 5 The Calusa Golf Course Superintendents Association is a nonprofit affiliated chapter of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America (GCSAA). We are a local group of golf course superintendents who are committed to advancing our profession through educational programs, fundraising, and services that promote the golf industry. The Calusa GCSA was founded in 1997 and has donated in excess of $50,000 to charitable organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Children s Network of SW Florida, Harry Chapin Food Bank, American Cancer Society, Liberty Youth Ranch and The Abuse Counseling Treatment Center of SW Florida. We are here today in hopes of you joining the Calusa GCSA in support of these great charities. A gracious donation from your organization can make a huge difference in the life of another.
