2 Welcome to Cottesmore Hotel, Golf & Country Club Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club is set in some of the most beautiful Sussex countryside and has a reputation for providing an excellent golfing experience. Situated in Pease Pottage the course provides a great location for a relaxing game of golf in tranquil surroundings with mature trees and water that come in to play on several holes. The course is only 1 mile from the M23 and just 15 minutes from Gatwick Airport making a great meeting point for friends around the country and beyond. Cottesmore is a 27-hole golf club set in 247 acres of rolling tree edged Sussex country side. Established in 1975 by the Rogerson Family it continues to enjoy more than 30 years as a prime golfing venue. The site was originally farm buildings in the grounds of Cottesmore School, previously a private house built in 1884 by a diamond farming French man. The house can be seen from parts of the course and poses a commanding back drop to some holes. The Griffin course was originally designed in 1975 and is noticeable for its lack of bunkers as it benefits from a combination of tight fairways and small greens, requiring accurate golf to make a score. The Phoenix benefits from the huge array of mature trees offering plenty of character to this second course, ideal for those who are newer to the game whilst still offering up a challenge worthy of a more experienced campaigner. Cottesmore is a member s based course but welcomes visitors and groups. Over the last few years we have entertained a range of societies and charity golfing events and held the Sussex open here in Cottesmore welcomes societies 7 days a week. How to find us; By Road Leave the M23 at Junction 11 and follow the sign to Pease Pottage and Services. At the mini roundabout take the third exit, over the fly-over and into Pease Pottage. Follow this road for about a mile, over three sets of yellow speed ramps and Cottesmore is on the right hand side. By Rail Crawley and three bridges are the nearest railway stations to Cottesmore and are on the London to Brighton mainline with regular trains to and from London. The stations are approximately a 10 minute taxi ride to Cottesmore. (Alternative station would be Horsham)

6 Society Dress Code and Etiquette COURSE ETIQUETTE & STANDARDS Course marshals will monitor your speed of play and will expect you to keep up with the group in front of you, please aim for a 4 hour round. Please replace all divots and repair any pitch marks. All golfers should use paths where provided and any trolleys or buggies not on paths where provided will either be taken off the course or banned completely. NO Football or T Shirts NO Collarless Shirts Shirts MUST be kept tucked in at all times NO Track Suits, Beach or Athletic Shorts NO Denim Jeans Trousers must be full length or TAILORED Shorts and Neat Cargo Shorts can be worn to the knee. NOT BELOW Golf Shoes must be worn at all times by golfers. Flat shoes must be worn by caddies and spectators at their own risk. CLUBHOUSE/DINING ROOM Within the clubhouse & dining rooms, a SMART CASUAL dress code applies No Trainers No Denim Jeans No Track Suits, Beach or Athletic Shorts No Collarless Shirts No Head Gear No Golf Shoes (Unless in Gatwick/Spike Bar)
