You will be allowed to warm up over the fences in the arena instead of going around the outside of the arena. Test Caller is available and on standby at the arena for all Prix Caprilli rides. 7 Hilltoppers membership is open for 2019 Prorated rates for Sept or join January 1st Hilltoppers.web.com or Hilltoppers Pony Club had an extremely successful 2018 USPC Championships at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in August. Our riders couldn't do it without your support! In the Show Jumping division, Sabrina Carmichael and Quest for Victory achieved first place in Horse Management in a large division! They also finished 3rd overall! The courses were beautiful and we had the pleasure of Janna Rittaco, a National Examiner from Carolina Region as her coach. In the Games division, the Blue Streaks Team had 2 South Region members and our own Brynn Delong was also a star in HM finishing with zero HM points! Their team finished 4th in HM and 5th overall. The team won the Frances E. Pitts Memorial Trophy: Given in memory of Frances Pitts, a member of the 1995 USPC International Games Team. It is awarded to the Games player who demonstrates excellence in horsemanship, sportsmanship, and leadership at USPC Games Championships. The permanent trophy is on display at the USPC headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, and the winner receives an engraved Julep Cup. In this case, the entire team was given the award instead of a single player! This team was coached by our own Hilltopper Courtney Cook who tirelessly devotes her time to the future of Games in USPC! In the New Vocations Pony Club Challenge Dressage Division, Maren Hanson and Ellenvelyn, owned by Mary and Adelle Leverett, finished 3rd overall and 7th in HM. Former racehorses were offered for adoption to C1 and above USPC members who competed them to show their progress from track to show ring. Adelle started Ellen s training but was unable to attend so Maren picked up the riding for the 60 days prior to the championships. Maren was coached by our DC/her mother Christie. A Hilltoppers horse, Swedish Fish aka Cara, belonging to Maren Hanson, also competed as a donated horse for the Tetrathlon International Exchange. She was drawn by Team USA and had 2 great rounds in the big arena at 3 height with gates and slip rails to negotiate. It was a great experience to share a horse with this program and meet International USPC competitors! The hard work of our riders and coaches made this a very successful year for HTPC! Congratulations!
