NOVICE PONY/HORSE Not to have won a 1 st prize in any jumping competition 70 cms 2. MINI OPEN 70 cms 3. NOVICE PONY/HORSE 75 cms Not to have won a 1 st prize in any competition 4. COMPETITION HORSE/PONY (RIDDEN) Rider Open. Judged 60% performance to include freestyle show & 40% conformation. Class may be split into 14.2hh and under (148cms) and exceeding 14.2hh (148cms). WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP For the 1 st and 2 nd prize winners of classes 17, 18 & 19 Rosettes to 6 th place. Rosette to highest placed DW(NM) member in each class. Prize Money: 5.00 for First Place in each class.

5 RING 4 IN HAND & RIDDEN SHOWING Commencing at pm 21. M & M IN HAND (Large & Small Breeds) Depending on entries this Class may be split according to height, age and breed. 22. RIDDEN COB Rider Open. Any age or height. Must be unplaited & true to type. 23. M & M RIDDEN (Large & Small Breeds) Rider Open. Class may be split into small/large breeds. Snaffle bridle only. 24. M & M LEADING REIN Not exceeding 12hh (122cms). Rider not to have attained their 9 th birthday (before 1 st January 2017). Snaffle bridle only. No stallions. 25. EX- RACE HORSE Horse to be 4 years old and over, registered with Weatherbys. Must have raced on the flat, over jumps or Point to Points. Horse to be entered in registered name. To be judged on suitability to compete in all disciplines. 26. RIDDEN HUNTER Rider Open. To exceed 14.2hh (148cms) RING 5 RIDDEN PONIES & HORSES Commencing at am 27. CHILD S BEST FRIEND Riders 7 years and under. May be led. This is not a show class. 28. CHILD S BEST FRIEND Riders 8-12 years. May be led. This is not a show class. 29. THELWELL Best pony/rider combination in the Thelwell style (not fancy dress).

6 30. PONY MOST SUITABLE FOR ITS RIDER 14.2hh and under, rider 16 years and under. May be asked to jump a small fence. Commencing at 2.00 pm (approx.) 31. PONY CLUB TYPE (no lead reins) Open to all Pony Club members. Will be asked to jump a very small fence and do a task. 32. FAMILY PONY 14.2hh and under 33. FAMILY HORSE/HACK Exceeding 14.2hh. May be asked to jump. 34. VETERAN Ridden horses and ponies 15 years of age and over. Rosettes to 6 th place. Rosette to highest placed DW(NM) member in each class. Prize Money: 5.00 for First Place in each class. RING 6 HANDY PONY Commencing at am Entry on the day at ringside 2.00 per round. Class will be split into lead rein and non-lead rein against the clock. Rosettes to 6 th place in each group. Special Rosettes for all competitors. FANCY DRESS Commencing at 1.00 pm Free entry. All competitors MUST wear correct riding hats. Rosettes for all.

7 GYMKHANA EVENTS Commencing at 2.00 pm Entries will be taken at the ringside from 1.00 pm. Entry fee: 2.00 per class Section A Section B Section C 8 year and under (may be led) 12 years and under Open Section A 8 years and under (may be led) 1. Bending race 2. Mug race 3. Walk and trot 4. Sock race 5. Hunt the sweet 6. Consolation race for riders who have competed in the races and not won a rosette. Section B & C 12 years and under 1. Bending race 2. Mug race 3. Flag race 4. Sock race 5. Sack race There will be a Championship Rosette for the competitor gaining the most points in each of the three age groups.

8 FAMILY DOG SHOW Commencing at 2.00 pm Entries will be taken at the ringside. Entry fee: 2.00 per class 1. Best Sporting 2. Best Non-Sporting 3. Best Terrier 4. Best Dog 5. Best Bitch 6. Best Handler (8 year and under) 7. Best Puppy under 12 months old 8. Best Veteran (10 years and over) 9. Dog or Bitch the judge would most like to take home Trophy for Best in Show Rosettes to 4 th place in each class. EQUINE CAR BOOT SALE Entry fee payable on day of show. Entry fee: 5.00 per table (PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TABLE)

Please telephone: Notes: Please send entries in advance to the Secretary. No entries on the day. Please complete an entry form & return it with your cheque to the Secretary. Pony Club Dressage Tests are available online: Terms & Conditions 1. These shows will be run under current Pony Club rules 2. The organisers reserve the right to alter classes, cancel any show and refuse any entry without explanation. 3. No entry will be accepted without the correct entry fee. 4. No refunds after close of entries. Refunds before close of entries 50% of entry fee. 5. Entries may be limited and a waiting list will be kept. Competitors will be informed of their position on the list when phoning times or collecting them from our website. 6. In the interests of health and safety, everyone must take all reasonable precaution to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and stewards including conduct in working in areas. 7. Flash photography is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones must be turned off during tests. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

10 QUALIFIERS North Devon Show Jumping Qualifier The 2017 show will be held on Wednesday 2 nd August at Umberleigh Barton Farm, Umberleigh EX37 9DX which in on the A377 road. TARKA Open to ponies 14.2hh and under and riders to be 16 years and under on the day of the show. Jumps in the first round should not exceed 85 cms. TAW & TORRIDGE Open to horses over 14.2hh and riders any age. Jumps in the first round should not exceed 90 cms. The competitions will run as a two round competition (first round followed by a jump off). Competitors placed 1 st to 6 th in the classes will qualify. (Competitor must have jumped two rounds in each class). Riders may not enter both the Tarka and the Taw & Torridge. The classes are open to residents from within the Agricultural Society s local area which included all the PARISHES in North Devon and Torridge District Councils areas. Cricklands Qualifier The David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Caldicot, Monmouthshire NP26 5XP. You need to jump a double clear round in the same class, in classes 1 7. Complete the entry form and get it signed by the Show Secretary on the qualification card. (This must be submitted to Cricklands within one month of our event).

11 RULES & REGULATIONS 1. The Judge s decision is final. Any objection may be handed to the Secretary, in writing, together with within 20 minutes of the class being judged. Money will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 2. The Committee will not be held responsible for any damage whatsoever to animals, persons or property. All persons attending the show do so at their own risk. 3. No phone entries will be accepted. The Committee reserves the right to decline any entry. 4. The Committee reserves the right to alter or modify the schedule or withhold any prize for child unable to prove his/her age if asked. All riders must be 3 years and older. 5. All dogs must be kept on a lead. 6. No galloping outside the ring. 7. No horse/pony should be loaded into or tied to a trailer which is not hitched up to a towing vehicle. Anyone found doing so will be asked to leave the showground. 8. Correct British standard head gear, conforming to current standards and appropriate dress to be worn at all times when mounted. 9. Numbers must be worn in the rings. 10. Whips/spurs are not to be used in the gymkhana. Any excessive use while on the showground will result in disqualification. 11. Ridden horses must be 4 years old and over. 12. No entry fees will be refunded, but competitors will be allowed to swap classes if feasible. 13. No unauthorized persons allowed in the rings, except grooms in show classes. 14. Engraving will not be undertaken by the Committee. Please return cups/trophies before the show to Mrs Janet Cumings, Eastwood, Bishops Nympton, South Molton EX36 4PB. Cup/trophies awarded should be collected from the Secretary s Tent and signed for. 15. In Leading Rein gymkhana or jumping classes, the winner will be the rider and not the leader first across the line. 16. All entries must be declared to the ring stewards before the start of class. Please inform the ring steward if you wish to be withdrawn from a class or if you may be required in more than one ring at the same time. 17. Persons leading a competitor must be 16 years or over. 18. The committee reserves the right to exclude any person s horses due to inappropriate behaviour.
